How is Nougat so far?

1-Switch off the device.

2-Press and hold Volume Down, then press and hold Power button, release the buttons when the screen shows some info.
This will boot the Fastboot / Bootloader Mode.

3-Now, use the volume buttons to select Recovery Mode.

4-Press the Power button in order to confirm that you wish to load Recovery Mode.

5-An Android with a red exclamation mark will show up and you will have to press and hold Power, then press and release Volume UP.

6-The Recovery Mode options should appear shortly after that.

So far, I love it.

Quick camera launch seems to be fixed which was a big gripe of mine. Haven't done too much but the phone is snappy and works well.

Only gripe now is S Health doesn't work even after an uninstall/reinstall

I updated from Developer Preview and I really like the new version. I haven't noticed any significant battery usage improvement, but I'll wait a few days before expecting too much. I just performed a partition wipe which should help. I never had any battery issues to speak of.

See post #39 for the first part; and now, the rest of the story.

Battery life on Android 7.0 release build looks pretty normal to me. I can't say that it's better or worse than on Marshmallow, since I didn't do a direct comparison, but it's close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades. YMMV.

As title says, how's Nougat working out for you? I usually like to wait on major OS updates after I see some real world reviews, feedback, etc.

Have you guys noticed the camera shutter speed is slower on nougat? I'm hoping they speed it up with an update

anyone figure out how to use the split screen. I can't.

Open one app that's capable of split screen then hold down the recent apps button to open another. Once you're done, swipe the divider all the way down to get rid of the second app

There are two options I know for split screen. One, press and hold the Recents (square) button while in app. App will be pushed to half screen. Other half will be carousel of other open apps. Scroll and select second app.

Two, tap the Recents key. Scroll through apps. Long press on app. Will be pushed to half screen. Repeat for second app.

I did a factory reset, updated via beta, factory reset through recovery, cleared cache and booted and set up as a new device. Charged overnight. Battery life is worse, but the OS needs some time to break in as usual. However, my developer options are not sticking. The menu stays, but any options I enable keep randomly disabling. Otherwise, my phone is lightening!
Battery life is significantly better on day 2 and now 3 post update/reset.

In the system UI tuner, tapping on "other" I get this. WTH is the "overview button"?

swiping up on that does nothing for me but give a little haptic feedback.

Is there a way to see how often Doze activates? After several days of normal use on N, I do notice a slight increase in battery life. I'm finishing the day with ~5% more battery vs M. I am noticing that Android System and Android OS are at the top of my battery use. Screen is usually third on the list.

I will wait until the end of the week but my battery is worse. I am not sure by how much just yet but the fact that like you Android OS and Android System is at teh top of the list of battery use is an ominous sign. Before screen on time would be at least double everything else.

Has anyone gotten the Zedge app to work? It force closes on N every time I try to open it. I am not feeling the N ringtones and alerts at all.

I tried to get more info on doze by searching in "help and feedback". This is what I got. How to translate and why is it in a language other than the default on me devise.
