How long does everyone anticipate keeping the Note 9?

I bought my Note 9 few days ago. I had the OG Pixel before. I've been playing with the note quite intensively and I'm thinking about going back to the Pixel. There are only a few things I like about the Note. The screen and the battery. Everything else is good also, but not exceptionally better than on the Pixel. The only use for the pen that I've found has been signing documents and let's be honest, how often you have to do that. It's also pretty frustrating that the Note came with Oreo despite the fact that I have been using Pie for months on my Pixel. Although I have to admit I've been missing the double tap on the recents button to switch apps. I'm not a fan of the software either. It just doesn't feel as polished as the pixel's or even IPhone's. There are too many things that seem inconsistent and out of place.

Anyway I'm not sure if this phone is worth the 1000+ euros. Might as well return it and wait for the Pixel 4.

I feel the opposite. I have a Pixel 3 XL and the Note makes that feel like an unfinished product. For instance...when I make calls the dial screen refreshes instantly on the note. Not with the Pixel. Many things are just more intuitive with the Note.

If they somehow make a smaller phone, flat screen with Note 9 specks and yes without s pen then I will jump. S9+ was first choice however I wanted to try the pen and bigger battery seemed nice. Give me a powerhouse with flat screen and its game on. 2 things that will not sway me is 5G and price. Also I will probably never leave Verizon. Thats how I will roll!

I would like to stay resolute and maintain that I'll stick it out till 2020, but that would be a fraudulent declaration as I lack discipline to say no to new shiny objects.

Has anyone had both the 128 and 512 models? Just curious the differences you did (or didnt) notice. I've got the 128gb and it's great for me.

I have the 8/512.
The wife has the 6/128.
I see no appreciable differences, other than the obvious.
We don't game on them, but I think that's how one could experience any differences.

No gaming here either. I do enjoy short videos and stuff sometimes, but I also have the Tab S4 which is GREAT. The Note 9 has been doing quite well - pleased with the Sprint version 128gb.

Wasn't sure whether I should sell it and get the S10 but after the Pie update I gotta say: will keep it at at least until the Note 10 hits

With Good Lock 2018 and Fluid Navigation Gestures, I may be keeping this phone a long time. I don't even really want One UI. with the set up I have.

I will not, I repeat, I will not purchase a phone with a notch or punch-hole. I wont do it. I usually keep phones around 2 to 3 years, upgrading only if somethung happens to my previous phone or my needs change. The Note 9 is the Rolls-Royce of cell phones and I expect to have it a good long time. However, if an upcoming Note has a beautiful new design and no notch or punch-hole, I could see myself upgrading, but even that would still have to be at least 2 to 3 years down the road.

I will still have my Note 9 but I fully intend on my daily driver moving to the Note 10 when it comes out. I currently have the Note 8, Note 9 and S8+ - and one of them will likely go in a trade-in.

The only Note that I did not own was the Note 5.

I agree if I'm going to get the note 10 one of the following is to happen
S9+
S8+
Note 9
Will be traded in , most likely s8+ lol

Impossible to put a timeframe on it. When it starts being a slow POS I'll ditch it like I did my S7E, though with the 8GB variant I don't see that happening any time soon.

Will you still keep it after it stops getting OS and security updates?

Every phone I've had has turned I to a frustrating piece of crap before that happened. Don't care about OS, but security would be an issue.

Lol...I have my Nexus 5x and note 4 and htc m8 dont get no more security or OS updates still run ok ..
Now the note 4 needs new battery so does my htc m8 , my Nexus 5x I replaced myself the battery and USB c charger port but now got the famous boot loop will change the motherboard next

I'll get the Note 10, sell the Note 9 when I get the Note 11 and the sequence will hopefully continue. I need 2 phones and I need them to be Galaxy Notes.

I plan to keep my N9 until it stops getting major updates and 5g is pretty much at the point that 4g lte is now.
