How To CREATE & SHARE Your very own Splash1 Screen

But you are in the best forum for getting help and let me say that the people you will get to know in the incredible forums are awesome... PVILLECOMP and ZERO NECK and WANDA are always around to help too... I would suggest you get comfortable rooting your phone first before you try and do this...

I didn't make the cut for helpful people? Seth, I'm hurt :'(

I was just kidding, but thanks for the edit. That's the problem with this internet thing - sometimes sarcasm doesn't come across the way its meant.

I knew you were being sarcastic... but seriously I shouldve added you too...

it's like texting your girlfriend (or wife), sometimes they don't get the tone of your voice and "I" may find myself in trouble... or vice versa ;)

Let me fix that for you since you are not married...

That's better ;)

Looks about right with those corrections, though the wife and I use gtalk, not texting...
I have GTalk but never used it yet... what if any are any differences compared to texting.. I cant imagine there would be any...

My brother has Gtalk and I have a few other friends but have yet to try it... is it better than texting

The big difference for us is that it's free. We are cheap enough that we don't pay for texting (I actually have it disabled), so we use it for the same functionality, though it's really instant messaging, so there is a better traceability of the conversation.

Could some one do this Pict for me, i have no clue how to on android, I have it on my htc touch pro 2 Thanks

So.. I assume that you havent rooted your phone yet, and you need to be rooted in order for you to be able to use this Splash screen... I gets rid of the white HTC incredible screen and will use this picture instead... I have taken the time to resize and I also attempted to sharpen it for you too.. once you are rooted just place the zip file I have attached and put it on the root of you sd card... there are to areas that will come up on your computer once you plug it in... on my computer E: and F: are the two drives that are in my phone... E: is the internal memory and F: is the SD card (that where is need to go). there should be another file called PB31IMG already there first (that is the htc white screen) you need to remove that and then it is as simple as dragging and dropping this new one I made for you, then properly eject the phone from your computer... shut the phone off and hold the Volume down button then also hold down the Power button, this will place you into HBOOT... wait about 5 secs and it will atamatically ask you if you want to proceed with update, follow the instruction for YES then press volume down button. that puts you back to HBOOT screen then just reboot your phone...

and also this only works for incredible phones

Please root your phone first or this is not possible to do.. Rooting will give access to the Root or you SD card. again, i stress that you read everything you can about your new android device so that you can get comfortable.... Good luck and if you ever have any questions just hit us up, or you can send me a private message too...

here is the pic and the zip of it... all you need is to download the zip link i am giving you :) have fun and good luck..

while im installing it i keep getting these command lines

-- Installing: /sdcard/PB31IMG.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted...

idk what i am doing wrong. i double checked the image pixel size. triple read the instructions, yet it doesnt seem to be working for me, any clue on what im doing wrong?

To install in HBOOT Make sure your SD Card is formated FAT32

Turn the phone off, then power it on by holding down the power and down volume button. This will take you to HBOOT. HBOOT will see the PB31IMG.zip file (it should be on the Root of the SD Card) and then prompt if you want to install it. Use the power button to say yes and you should be good to go. Be sure to remove the PB31IMG.zip file from the root of you SD when you are done.

thanks a million. gonna go test it out now.

it reads it, but i dont get a prompt to install it. a few lines of code flash then it says "parsing PB31IMG.zip" then that is that... not really sure if im supposed to go find it in the options or what. it says HBOOT, but i see fastboot recovery, clear storage, simlock, and factory reset. not really sure if im supposed to choose something from there

EDIT2: well, after lots of trial and error, i just keep getting an error, its bugging me to my core lol i guess ill try and install a new ROM. then try it again. i really dont know what i am doing wrong lol bleh
