Anyone know of a for sure sdcard? At this point have tried 6 different ones. all 8gb various companies various classes. all have one issue or another, never getting past the android flashing screen.

Please read thru the posts. I have left examples of Cards I have had success with and which ones I have not.
I have been reading the board for quite awhile and have a couple of questions before i make the NC dip:
1) I know HC is only a preview and there are things that are not working properly. Can/will there be improvements to HC as the developers delve deeper into it. In other words, will it ever be stable? I have a Hackintosh and understand that everything under the sun won't work, I ask because, the way people talk, it seems like a matter of time before X, Y, Z issues (video, flash problems) are addressed.
2) WHen updated versions are made available, do I have to reinstall HC from scratch and thus lose my apps. Or are the apps saved to yoru google account (sorry, this is my first foray into Andriod).

The two sd cards that work for me: Samsung 8GB class 2 and Patriot 8GB class 10
Didn't work: Patriot 16GB class 10 and Kingston 8GB class 4

I used a sandisk 16 GB class 2 and it worked without issue...although I made the switch to internal memory and it is SO much better than running off SD (just saying.)
Yup! That is exactly what I did. Not looking back. I am now using my NC/HC for a lot of things. Mostly the usual. surfing, email, Docs to go, All kinds of stuff and loving it. So much better than the SD version.
EDIT: And it seems to be getting faster and more responsive. The more I massage it the better it gets.
Needs:
1) I want to the SD card inside and Partition internally from my computer and copy files to it with the cable. Have the drives show up and be accessible thru "My Computer"
2) Flash of course.
3) recognize more apps in the market.
4) Video. (You tube works for me)
5) Angry Birds......... and so on.

Im running from the SD card and want to change the fingerprint in order to dowload more apps from market. Found the instructions but when I do adb pull /syste/build.prop, I cannot file the retrieved file anywhere. Please help
what apps actually work on this version..finally got it working but it just stays stuck at starting download in market
Apps I have:
Angry Birds (getjar.com)
Angry birds Season ()market
Facebook for Android (market.android.com to nc) - keeps crashing all the time - unistalled
Youtube - video crappy
Gmail (market)
Kindle - only shows some of my downloaded books, no navigatin (not sure if kindle is like this, don't own a kindle)
Google maps (pushed thru adb) - Does not show my location
Any other apps of interest that work?
could you provide the link to the instructions? I haven't seen the instrunstions.

I chose Droid X, downloaded to my computer. Sent an email to myself. Installed Astro. Then opened the mail using the gmail app (not email) and clicked install.
And it works great
. Hope this helpsHoneycomb is working great for me. I was wondering if the final SDK google just released is going to be put to use on the Nook or if this version is all we get. Thanks for everyone who worked on this.
Alright I got an 8gb SanDisk stage 4. Got the image onto the card put it into my nook a "loading..." sign comes up and then Android_. Like many before me it stays stuck on Android_
The last guy had this same problem but he corrected it by switching from PNY to SanDisK............naturally I already have SanDisk so what should I do. I've rebooted several times already still stuck.
BTW I don't think there's anything wrong with the image file cause i downloaded it write of the developers post.

Thanks, I actually just had to uninstall and reinstall the market and it works now.. Pandora seems to force close, gonna try to reinstall. What about widgets i've got a youtube one..tried a weather on but it forces closed on me too. Any Ideas?
most definately we will see the full sdk on the nook color, most devs wait till the full sdk is released before they start working due to the fact that all their work on the preview sdk will be nothing when the full sdk is released...but deeper blue went the extra mile and did the preview sdk...so expect the full sdk to evolve 5x faster than the preview
