Yep, I tried it and it works. Not sure I'm sold on the Nook Color, but this CM7 is as good as it gets, I think. I keep wanting to go back to my Evo, so I just may not be getting the tablet thing.

I need help installing CM7 onto emmc. I managed to get it installed onto my 4gb sd card and it boots nicely off the card, but I can't install Gapps, overclocking, market, youtube app, etc. Whenever I try to boot into recovery mode to install the extra stuff, it just restarts the nook and goes straight into CM7 off the card again. I dont have a spare SD card to install clockwork onto... Dont know how to proceed.
Unless there is another way to activate all of the apps/features I mentioned above while running them off the SD card....?

To be honest; all I did was went from Root Stock; downloaded CM7 zip ontop my memory card using my computer (Google search for it; you can find the zip file), downloaded Rom Manager; allowed it to install ClockworkMOD (select Nook Color not Nook Color old), backed up my ROM using ROM manager, then selected install rom from SD card and selected the zip file. After it ran its program, it loaded up. I setup my internet connection again, went into ROM manager and selected Download ROM, then selected "Google Apps" then selected the top choice (20110307 Universal). It downloaded, then asked me how i wanted to run it; I didn't wipe or backup my ROM; just let it run. It rebooted and I was good to go. I only had it install the marketplace instead of all the google apps.
So to summarize:
Download and put CM7 RC4 for Nook Color on memory card
Download/Install Rom Manager
Flash ClockwordMod Recovery (Select Nook Color, not Nook Color OLD)
Backup Current ROM
Install ROM from SD Card (select zip)
Select Download ROM/Google Apps in ROM Manager
When installing Google Apps; do not wipe or backup
Honestly, all this other ADB and other methods is really messy; it turned me off from doing it. It may be the right way; but this way is a lot easier.

I tried doing it that way but every time I try to reboot into recovery mode, it just restarts my nook and boots into CM7 like it normally does (I am running CM7 off the sd card).
As far as ADB goes, how would I go about doing this via a Mac? And do I need to enable anything on the nook to make it work with ADB? I'm pretty new to all of this, in case you couldnt tell...

Is there any reason you're sticking with the SD format instead of installing it internally? I had originally done the SD method but I realized it was easier/cleaner to just install internally and I haven't looked back. Unrooting and going back to stock is pretty easy and its next to impossible to brick your nook color because it loads off the SD card first.
Honestly, going from stock to CM7 with an overclock kernal and google apps is about a 20 minute process; including backup time. I just did it again this afternoon for my sister's nook. You can even download the Nook Color android app for your books, however it doesn't work with magainzes yet.
Like I said, I don't WANT to stick to running it off the sd card. But for some reason I can't get my nook to boot into recovery mode (it just starts up and loads CM7 instead) and I dont know how to move CM7 to the emmc instead. I can't seem to reset the nook go stock either. I also have no idea how to set up or use ADB (I'm on a mac).
Any help?

Same thing here. Initially I wasn't getting a very fast performance (quadrant≈800) after installing CM7RC4, but then I realized that I was still using the froyo overclock kernel. After flashing the CM7 overclock kernel the performance was much better (quadrant≈1300) but it wasn't until I found the new performance options under the CyanogenMod settings and sat them to "1100/300 ondemand" that I got the crazy performance that I'm enjoying now. Latest quadrant score I just got was 1790... This thing is truly fantastic now!!!
Use the Clockwork image and follow the instructions in the OP. While you're at it get Clockwork 3.0.1.0 from the link in my OP, there is a flashable ZIP that will put clockwork on your internal memory so you don't have to use the memory card to update or flash stuff.
Just installed RC4 on my fiancees new nook. The lock screen is whacked. How can I get that to normal? Or can i?
Settings - Cyanogen Mod Settings - Lockscreen -Style Options - Lockscreen style and then choose the type you want.
Finally put CM7 on internal after loving the leaked GB on my X! Wow, way cool upgrade from the SD Froyo, once I realized how easy it is to get it back to stock it was a no brainer to try it out. Fast functional tablet that can still be an ereader and fit in the misses purse 
I am very much a novice at the root game. I did follow the directions to do the autonooter method and got it to work.
The directions in the OP, which refer to lots of other sites and other directions seem a bit confusing to me. Can anyone point me in the direction of one source of complete, step by step, directions?
