thanks, i'll try it out and see how it goes

edit: it works out really well. going to regular search and voice search seems faster, like it made the button/phone more responsive.

I keep getting fc's too. The only theme I like that I've been able to flash without any problems is Touch of Blue.

I flashed jt1134's voodoo kernel and everything went fine. I was just wondering if there's a way to remove the android logo that overlays with the normal Samsung Galaxy S and Verizon boot animations?

You can try to flash another boot animation over the one on the phone/or remove the bootamination.zip fill all together..

Until we get the source code and kernels can be built to accommodate boot and shutdown animations we are having to piecemeal things together and sometimes they do not look so hot.

You are correct - EB01 ROMs and Themes need to be paired.

You can use a DL30 Theme with an EB01 ROM if you use the EB01 theme hack..

I have used it a couple of times with mixed results - SC 2.4 is rather picky about the themes that it plays with...

There is a stock EB01 ROM available. It is what was leaked and Adrynalyne and the other indie developers got their hands on. Some people prefer the stock look and feel so Adrynalyne made it available here:

THAT ONE, AND ONLY THAT ONE (STOCK) is odexed. EB01 debloated/deodexed is not odexed hence the deodexed part of the name. All of Adrynalyne's superclean versions are deodexed. So you can safely use any of the EB01 themes with the EB01 debloated/deodexed rom and any of the EB01 superclean roms, just not the EB01 STOCK ROM.

True, it's not so bad. It just looks really funny, I'll just wait till Samsung releases the source code. It's not like my phone is booting up constantly that I see it anyway

I have rebooted my phone 5 times today - flashing new stuff and restoring old - that is first reboot in 6 days.

The framework is different between the two. So the easy answer is 'no'... There is a DL30 Gingerbread located -> here - download links are still active.

It may not have the exact same look but still has many of the same theme features.
