This thread shows that it's for the i9000. Just making sure that it'll quirk for ours as well?

I put this up because some of the guys over in XDA were getting this to work (however) - they were installing on some undeclared non-stock ROMs.

ROMs and other apps designed specifically for the I-9000 do NOT play well with the Fascinate.

If you choose to try one of these options: nandroid first...

will the MIUI 2.2 froyo themes work on EB01/EB16 sc 2.5?

The themes will install on the ROM. The frameworkfor 2.5/2.5 is different and when you flash the theme it will over write the framework and other files.. You will notice that there are some differences in the appearance in the dialer, and few other options.

So quick answer: No...

EDIT: There is a a disclaimer on the theme page that indicates that theme is for MIUI ROM ONLY. Flashing it on EBxx will likely cause some bad things to happen - possible brick.

Do you guys think it's possible to flash the EB16 Voodoo kernels to my phone through CWM? I'm currently on stock EB01. If I can do this, how would I go about doing it?

You can flash and it will apply to the phone.. what happens after that is anyone's guess. I have not ready any post anywhere regarding that kind of use...

You will flash at your own risk.

Proceedure is the same as flashing a ROM or a Theme: Download to computer - transfer to sd card.. boot into recovery - install zip from sd card..

If you try - - Report back so there is some follow up.. Good luck.

First off let me thank Adrenylyn DroidXcon and anyone else who develops this stuff great job guys.

I am currently running 2.6 SC and think I want to try a theme. I like the ASOP launcher on SC and want a theme for this launcher (I think). Anyway are the ASOP themes compatible with 2.6? Any issues with 2.6 SC and any of the ASOP themes? I am thinking sunnybread or perhaps the black ASOP theme. What is the procedure for flashing? Any and all help would be much appreciated.

All the themes in Post #2 will work with 2.6. I have used Black AOSP and it is very clean. I have not tried Sunny. No issues have been noted for either of these themes.

To flash:
1. Download the theme (zip file) that you want.
2. Copy to your sd card
3. Boot into recovery (CWM Red) - new.. don't use the old green
4. Make a backup of your current ROM - This is just in the case something goes wrong (it can and eventually will)
5. Wipe the Dalvik cache (for most themes is recommended that you clear the Dalvik cache - located under advanced.) - Some folks may choosen to skip this.. I have not.
6. Navigate back to main menu.
7. Find and use the option install zip from sdcard..
8. Navigate to the location where you saved the zip.
9. Select and install zip file..
10. Go back to the main menu - reboot phone.

This will take a bit longer to reboot.. relax.

Enjoy.

JaeKae, what roms do you suggest i make Odin files of , as i dont want to make an odin for a rom that is not functional.

I have found that there are ROMs but not many that have the full functionality of Adrynalyne's 2.x series..

Most everything else is marginal.. Gingerbread AOSP has some good looks but I am not sure of full functionality... Not much to go on, updates and posts are light.

Blackhole is supposed to be complete. I have not tried to install again after about 3 failed attempts to pull all the pieces together. I believe that both of us have helped a few to recover from failed Blackhole installs..

Mou5 is cool.. my son is a huge fan. It is based off Vanilla Froyo.. it doesn't have all its parts working fully yet.

Kaosinate is out there but.. it needs some (a lot) of work before it becomes a full ROM for me.

Hope that helps...

JaeKar, have you tried BigLoof's Steel Blue V3.0 theme on EB01/EB16 SC2.6? I've tried it twice now and i keep getting FC issues with gmail. It reverts the gmail app back to an older version than what comes with SC2.6, plus it seems as if the theme causes data / 3G problems on my sf. Wondering if you or someone else has experienced this problem with that theme.

I downloaded the theme from post #2 by clicking on bigloof's name, which took me to the XDA website. DL'd V1.0 (included framework, themed apps, clock stuff, boot and shut down animations) and also V1.1, but after i flash in CWM i start having all sorts of data issues. I love the theme and i'm hoping it either gets fixed / becomes compatible with SC 2.6 or i can figure out if i am doing anything wrong so i can continue to use it.

Currently restoring a nandroid backup...

I ran 1.2SE for a few days and encountered some really odd issues. I abandoned themes while I am on the EB01/EB16 hybrid... I don't like too many variables operating (running the dummy tether kernel) at the same time.

Each of bigloof's updates adds more components to the theme and adaption to the changing ROM. I know Landshark had the same issues.

I also had a hard time getting nandriods to recover the system (boot loops). Had to roll the phone all the way back to the raw ROM before I could get it to fully boot.

I miss the themes but need a functional phone.

Yeah that's the same as I'm running (hybrid/2.6/dummy tether kernel). Steel Blue was the first theme I've tried since the upgrade and there were some very quirky issues indeed. I think i was lucky, restored back without boot loop or other issues (thankfully! lol). Do any themes work with the hybrid/dummy tether kernel at this point? Or is that something that will come in time I'm assuming. Hopefully Bigloof's Steel Blue 3.0 theme will become compatible for this build... one of my favorites.

EB01 Honeycomb Theme - is the only one using 2.6 Framework. You should be able to avoid the framework issues with this choice... It is a sweet theme. Not many pics tho.

The link in theme will take you directly to the developer page on XDA - you can get the download there or on post #2 in this thread.

im new to fascinate coming from incredible..and our clockwork mod was straight forward im seeing red cwm over green ect cld someone pls explain the differance or direct me to an explination..ive the cwm thread and it didnt seem to help me anyway..thanks

I agree with Chris - Clear the Dalvik cache before re-flashing 2.6. Let SC 2.6 fully load before flashing the theme.

I tried to flash the ROM and theme in the same session and got the same boot loop.

I may not be of any help... But here it goes: The old (green) CWM does not mount memory properly and when you flash though it will scramble the phone and it does not function properly. When we (many of us) started flashing 2.2 ROMs this made the problem worse.

jt1134 reworked the CWM and posted the corrections here..

If you are using any 2.2 ROM on your fascinate - you will need to use this version (red)..

Did you wipe Dalvik cache before flashing the Honeycomb theme? Try reflashing SC 2.6, wiping Dalvik cache, and then reflashing the HC theme.

Actually no I did not wipe the Dalvik :)... guess that's where my problem came from, lol. I just reflashed DXC's package with ODIN (i couldn't get back into recovery at all) and we're up and running again.

Wiping Dalvik and flashing away... :)

EDIT: Success! Thanks guys, Dalvik wipe did it for flashing Honeycomb theme! Jaekar, you were right it's a pretty sweet theme! Wish i could find themed apps / swipe that would work on this. I'm going through theme withdrawls from having everything themed with steel blue :).
