been holding off on trying that theme but might try it once the update comes out

It is an awesome theme. You get the best of both worlds, a dark theme but yet with some color thrown in so it's not too dark

sounds like what I'm looking for! I'm still keeping the dialer and mms apks from the honeycomb tho lol

I'm running Super Clean 2.7 non voodoo and I was wondering what kernels the people here would recommend. Also if someone can explain to me what the purpose of kernels are. Thanks.

2.7 I think came with the EB16 kernel before it got pulled. your only other option is the EB01 kernel. I would leave your setup as it is untill we get kernels made from source code.

Sheepdog Elite did a hell of a lot of work putting this thread together that will answer just about any question you may have about rooting and help you understand what everyone is talking about. Kernels are explained in there:

Does anyone know theoretically or by experience, does flashing a theme on stock eb01 give you fc's or does it just not theme everything? I could handle the latter. Thanks.

If you flash a theme on a stock ROM (not deodexed) - It will fail to function properly if it boots at all.

"Stupid things will happen." - I have seen this statement in several forums regarding this kind of action.

The theme you are flashing must be developed for that specific ROM - if not - "stupid things will happen."

haha, yeah, a partial theme, i could deal with..i have been running the stock eb01 lately, but want a theme, hate the stock look. don't want stupid things happening, however. lol.

How do i install one of these themes?

On your phone hit menu capacitive button then go settings=>application=>development and make sure usb debugging is checked. Then connect phone to pc with usb cord provided with the phone. Pull down the notification bar, click usb connected, on screen that shows on phone click gray bar that says connect usb storage. You should have an auto play window pop up on your pc, click "open folder to view files." This will open up your sd card directory. download the zip file for whatever theme you want to try on your sd card, either on the base or root of the sd card or in a folder (I put all mine in the folder labeled sd card.) Just put it somewhere you can find it. Close out the directory window, click the gray bar on your phone to turn off usb storage, then follow the step by step instructions in the link in my signature.

Ok so im not sure if this is the right place to post this but ill give it a shot. I was running sc 2.6, has the patch installed as well. I was running midnight blue theme, then flashed the gingerbread theme. I then decided i wanted something else so i flashed the VA green theme. Before flashing all of these i did cache wipes and dalvic cache wipes. I did a nandroid backup of my gingerbread theme and wanted to flash back to that. I did that and got the force close loop of hell. I went back into recover did a data wipe factory reset this time, wiped all the caches, and tried running any flashing any theme i could but i am not getting past the boot animations now. Any help would be much appreciated.

and i have the latest cwm 3x

Are you flashing everything through red or orange cwm? If you are flashing through orange that is probably your problem. Orange uses Edify and all the themes are still using Amend scripting. You can flash the 2.7 patch in orange, but everything else needs to be flashed in red cwm.
