Android Central Question
I have recently had the message popping up that there is water in the charging port so I have left it to try naturally for 3 days and in rice for 1 day. The message stopped showing up and it accepted a charge. Now the charging port isn't working at all. Not even the warning about water. I've spoke to a local techie who says that to replace charging port assembly the screen has to be replaced also as they are stuck together? Is this true or can I replace just the charging port assembly.
The phone is still able to charge wirelessly and is 2 years old and out of warranty so I'm looking for an option that is cheap and worth doing. If not I'll just continue to wirelessly charge the phone.
Thanks in advance.
