How to root DL09

If using one click method please note the following as it worked for my phone.

edit the start_root.bat

modify the line: call PMSLEEP 60

to: call PMSLEEP 100

Also when the phone reboots during the first step unplug it wait until android boots back up then plug your usb back in so that you can force the ability to mount the sdcard.

What was happening in my case was the batch file was calling the pmsleep.bat file to quickly before my phone was totally booted up.

Hope this helps for those having problems.

How did you change that to 100. I tried in the Edit and it is still going too fast.

One more thing that I noticed, you don't have root permissions (edit access) to the system/app folder. I was trying to add .old to the bing file to disable the ggole search, and it states this folder can't be edited.

Anyone else had this issue?

I was still able to disable bing, by going into the app/data folder by adding .old to the com.microsoft.mobileexperiences.bing.apk file.

It goes to google for searches.

Curley...

Right click on the *.bat file. Then look for "call PMSLEEP 60". Then change it to "call PMSLEEP 100". Afert you edit the file, save the changes.

Restart the root process over again. Mine worked the 1st time I tried the instructions.

I am sorry kinda a noob at this root, which file is the .bat file?
I changed the name in the facinate root .02 to (batch file) pmsleep.100 and could not find the file.

what is the file I right click on? Sorry, I just don't know what I am looking for.

Changed it in the notepad, is that what I was supposed to do?

Edit: I think I know where to do it now, but when I unplug the phone, it continues with the process before the phone boots back up. what and I doing wrong?

doesn't work, went through the above steps for 1 click, changed value to 100 and i get this - error: device not found after it boots back up.
It also keeps trying to do media sync, should I let it do that and if not how do I stop it?
thanks

I actually tried hitting the pause button on the keyboard until the phone is booted back up and it looked good, then phone not connected again.
but it rebooted the second time, so that does not make sense.

Curley,

If you are using the one click method, Edit "start_root.bat" file. Then make the changes/edit to the file. Save the file.

You might want to reboot your computer and SF. Then follow the process listed under "How to Root" section.

Make sure you load the SF drivers and downloaded the one click zip file. Extract and double click on the start_root.bat.

got it that time. set the usb mode to media, then did the debugging. the sleep is set to 100.

OK, big question here. I have rooted and went to go through the process of moving the apps I don't want to a folder on the sd card, after I move them and go back to the app listings they are still there(eg. NFS, Bing,Blockbuster etc). So I tried to freeze them with Titanium backup and it lists them as frozen and the are all still visible in the apps. What could cause this?

nope, still not working....changed the, have the drivers, ran the one click....oh well, I guess I am going to have to figure out another way

call PMSLEEP 2

echo * Restarting your phone to ensure the exploit will work
echo * When your phone comes back on please unlock it if it is locked and then
echo * wait

adb reboot
call PMSLEEP 100

Still going too fast. what am I doing wrong?

Changed it to 1000 and it still just scrolls right by. I am starting to think it is my PC. I am an administrator on my PC, but I am wondering if there is something else.
