[How-To] Rooting LS670ZVD with GingerBreak (no reverting and OTA works too!)

Generally you get those errors because you didn't do a clean reboot before running gingerbreak. Pull your battery and try again.

"Thanks" posts aren't against the rules and they aren't spam as they're still technically on topic. Thanks posts are a good means of giving recognition but pressing the thanks button is more efficient IMO.

I actually just figured out the fix for the "sndmsg failed?" message. When I was getting that, I noticed my phone was giving me the "SD Card Ready to Remove" message. So, while it was still connected to the PC, and while I was getting the constant "sndmsg failed" alerts, I took out the sd card, waited a few seconds then reinserted it. A couple seconds later, I got the successful root message!

So, after days of trying to root my phone so I could tether it to my Nook Color, I finally got it rooted! Maybe this will help the other person that was having the same problem.

So "THANKS!" for the guide to rooting! And I know that the "Thanks" messages aren't against the rules, it just makes it harder to find the useful posts to troubleshoot. But thanks to everyone who put this guide together.

im trying this but u keep getting the messege: [-] sendmsg() failed? over and over again. after [+] Calculated idx: -1996 is this right?

Still running but has been running for 30 min
Hit me up and ill help you out another way

Hi, So I'm not sure but something seems to be missing.. I've very hard to figure out how to do this but on windows 7 in the cmd line, after navigating to the specified location and meticulously ensuring that I'd followed every step perfectly prior to the following, I still, upon entering "abd shell" receive a message from cmd saying that "abd" is not a recognized internal or external command... can you please explain to me why that's happening...

Again, the path to the abd.exe file is perfectly set in the location specified by the video tutorial. It's not that. The zip file actually comes with abd.exe in it now so it shouldn't even matter..

What am I missing? I've tried to figure it out on my own for over 30 minutes so I don't feel bad about asking for help now...

edit**
oh my god im a dumb a** i knew i was missing something stupid... i was typing abd instead of adb... shame... dyslexia.
