HOW TO : UPDATE to 4.3 from STOCK 4.2.2 ( STOCK recovery, Locked/Unlocked Bootloader)

Bingo! Dont transfer the Update file from another folder (ie download folder).
Right click and save as update.zip directly into C:\mini-sdk
Then follow instructions from running CMD.
Mines updating as I type so fingers crossed!

Thanks. I've gone into recovery mode before and performed recoveries in the past but forgot. Would have been nice if people were more exact with the info to begin with. Updating to 4.3 as we speak.

As said above, problems with Play. Resetting google account fixed that... but overall the phone is now BUGGY!!! Is that the official OTA for sure??

Update sucks... it went through update but the Phone Icon that was on my dock was removed and replace with a phone icon which is dead and really points to CONTACTS.
And there is no Contacts app in my drawer anymore... guess I lost all my contacts :/
Will have to figure out how to restore my Contacts app (It was called People before right?)
There is a new app called Keep though in the drawer.
Sucks.

Yes, for me my "PHONE" shortcut disappeared too... but contacts are still there.... WEIRD. Also facebook stopped pushing... had to uninstall/reinstall it... wtf is this update?!
I found my People icon tossed in a folder I put for all of my google related apps. I had to resync it with my Google account to get the contacts back.
But I still have a dead icon in that folder too and when you put in more info it's called CONTACTS. I don't understand but I have my People app so I will probably delete that soon.
Besides that, I found I lost my Discover Credit Card app... dead icon. Will uninstall and reinstall it I guess.

Ok I got it to work for me and I was having the same issue. If you're using Windows just name the file update but when you type the cmd type "adb sideload update.zip" i guess from what I read that Windows adds the .zip part...hope this helps.
