How to Voodoo ***Updated 27 Mar 2011***KERNEL BUILT FROM SOURCE/SOUND/UNDERVOLTED

I just saw that... is that a different updated kernel than what JT has posted on xda? or is it the same one? (0327-2)

Probably the same one, but his link didn't take. It was in black text and not clickable.

Is it just me or does the new kernal cause a speed increase in operation? Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but my phone seems wicked fast now!

Read Adrynalyne's line at the kernel again. Not the same one. He took jt's kernel and undervolted it even further.

I know this isn't a support thread for the Kernel... BUT Now when I take video I can't hear any audio when I play it back. Has anyone else had this problem... also if I miss a call the phone unlocks itself. Help is appreciated.

Hmmm...I am running into this issue too (the no sound after recording a video). did I miss a reply to this one?

I am running 2.9.2, 327-2v with nitroeclipse theme.

I had installed the original 327 kernel, and had the problem and it has continues on through 327-2.

I installed via CWM, wiped both caches both before and after installs, installed the voodoo audio app.

Anymore suggestions?

Hey guys, I'm not sure what I've done but I managed to mess some stuff up on my phone.

Here's the situation (was running 2.9.2 NV with gingerbread v 2 theme): I decided to Voodoo so I flashed 2.9.2 voodoo and enable lagfix and reboot...phone starts to boot and I get the droid voice and everything was successful. I then decide to flash the Gingerbread v2 theme and thats when I ran into problems. I ended up getting what looked like a boot loop. I went back into CWM and disabled lagfix and did a restore back to what I had running without the theme. This ended up working but now none of my app shortcuts work. I went back and did lagfix again and it was sucessful again. I have the same problem still. It says the application is not installed. None of them show up in settings either. I also do not have android market.

What should I do?

sounds like time for a data and cache wipe. give that a shot.

Trying to narrow it down a bit more, the video doesnt record sound, and neither does the voice recorder. Voice search works though

Also to let everyone know, Adrynalyne just put the kernel in the OP of his superclean thread and he said nonvoodoo can use it, they just have to create a folder called disable_lagfix in their voodoo folder.

Does this mean I should go to /sdcard/voodoo/ and create a new (empty) folder called disable_lagfix and that will suffice for a non-voodoo version? I could just change to Voodoo but then I would have to flash the voodoo version of 2.9.2 first and if this can work with non-voodoo I'd be happy to do it that way and have less potential to mess up my phone, which is working fabulously right now.

Thanks!

Thanks. I read both yours and his and wasn't sure.

P.S. I downloaded the file to my PC, sent it to Dropbox, and downloaded it to my phone from there. It was nice to have an alternative to the USB.

Hey gunner got a ? I just flashed the kernal that adrynalyne put on his 2.9.2 sc post and my phone went all crazy. It stated force closeing and rebooting when i pulged it in today. I have 2.9.2 sc ultimate_huoneycomb theme on my phone. Do you think it was just a bad flash or what would cause it to go all crazy when i hook it up to charge.

I was running Orange Explosion and when I applied the Kernel my phone would not go past the honycomb boot animation. No FC or vibrates that I could see, after ten minutes I gave up waiting.

I reflashed SC 2.9.2 and booted successfully, then rebooted and flashed the new kernel again without issue.

ok SS thanks might have to do that it just sucks because i had my phone just how i liked it guess i cant have everything right lol.
