I saw that.... both are said to be even more UV. does anyone have thoughts on either of those two kernels?

well thank you sir. gald you got it working. be sure to tell us how its going,
Glad you went came over to the dark sideI'm definitely glad i hopped to VooDoo. and after doing completely fix my volume issue using voodoo sound. So again thanks to all for answering my questions and a big Thanks to Gunnermike for taking the time to make this thread.
Glad you went came over to the dark sideNow whats to do right? Thats what i was asking my self after. With all these new Kernels out now theres definately alot of flashing and testing to be done..thats what im gunna do.
And heck yeah +1 for Gunnermike and this thread for helping all make it easier to go over to the dark side. Thank you!!
You think you've had a lot to play with and test with these kernels? Better fasten you seat belts boys and girls, we haven't even seen any ROMs yet from the Mesmerize source. When that happens, you're going to have these 4 kernels plus however many ROMs to mix and match in order to find what set up works best for you.![]()
im still having a bit of confusion about adrynalyne's kernel_update that i am running now. I created the disable_lagfix folder in the voodoo folder and flashed without issue.
As i understand it now, this is a voodoo kernel, but the disable_lagfix folder allowed me to flash without ever enabling the lagfix. I have checked in CWM and voodoo tells me that lagfix is indeed disabled.
So now I am safe to flash another nonvoodoo kernel in CWM if i please? and nothing about what i've done will break CWM and cause me to reflash it in odin, like is referred to in the op?
I know I asked a similar question in the Adrynalyne and was answered, but I still had a bit of confusion/more questions, and felt this thread fit my questions better.
You can flash another nonvoodoo kernel safely. Check out post #4 in Jaekar99's Themes, ROMs, Kernels thread HERE. Both imnuts and times_infinity have created undervolted nonvoodoo kernels, so you don't have to mess with lag fix or create the disable_lagfix folder.
why are people making disable_lagfix folders??? i plainly spell out how to unvoodoo. that folder isnt nessicarry. did i miss something???
People are still reading Adrynalyne's instructions. I'm directing people to your instructions. Don't really want to make direct references to disabling lag fix in Adrynalyne's thread and basically discount what he is saying. It's a slow process, but we are getting there.
im not saying it doesnt work. he has just been around since voodoos birth. thats hwo you did it in the old days. lol. i didnt include it because this thread was ment for voodoo noobs.
I understand, and I didn't want to directly say it in his thread, so as not to insult him in any way.
Speaking of which. Did you get my PM about slight modifications to your first line in this OP and the added step to the battery life method?

so im guessing that creating the disable_lagfix folder in voodoo before flashing a voodoo kernel, and flashing a voodoo kernel and then disabling lagfix in cwm before rebooting does the same thing?
Thanks for the info Mike. I am now rooted, themed, and voodooed without a brick. I was sort of looking forward to screwing up my phone so I could learn to work through the problems. I can never leave anything alone so I am sure I will asking for help before too long.
