Bluetooth networking transmits data via low-power radio waves. It communicates on modulated frequencies between 2.402 GHz and 2.480 GHz. This frequency band has been set aside by international agreement for the use of industrial, scientific and medical devices. Any nearby device transmitting on the same or close frequency can cause interference. The quality of device electronics and antenna design as well as battery power can vary and also be problematic.
