Droid Eris Battery Life AFTER Update to 2.x

With the new firmware update, has your battery life improved? If so, how much? What was it like before.

Trying to decide whether I should get it or wait it out.
Thanks.

I got the update last night (or early morning) and so far so good. My battery still is at 100% and I have made a couple of calls and checked twitter and email. Usually just turning the screen on made my battery drop a percentage point or two. So, yes, I think the update helped the battery life a lot.

Battery seems to be a little better. One thing I noticed was a smoother experience with zooming in and out of web pages as well as panning around.

So I'm thinking of ordering an Imagio battery simply because it's larger and said to work perfectly.

Can anyone confirm the size/fit of it? Do the back cover close all the way?

Can you post your impressions after draining the battery a few times? What you're saying about zooming and panning sounds great! :)

Edit: My post wasn't coherent.

ATK Free has without a doubt made a difference in awake time. I went from 75%-100% down to under 10% but my battery life is still miserable. I think I have a bum battery and VZW is sending me another one free. My question is to ones using ATK...Why does it send my phone to the HTC boot screen at times? It doesn't always do it. Weird!

htc eris battery

Ive tried searching. Does anyone know if the eris has an extended battery either available or coming out? Thanks

I have seen this also, and it seems random. One day I will get this happening every time, and at other times I will have it close everything without issue.

I did find that adding all the swtiches so that I could turn off BT, WiFi, and GPS really helped. Also, if I know that I am not going to be using the phone, I would evern turn off Mobile Data (3G) all together.

My battery life is about 10 hours or so, with limited use.

Nothing yet, have heard of people having luck with Imagio batts. The case wont shut completely on the sides, but it works apparently.

Sounds like you don't have all the services needed to run Sense on the whitelist.

Anything with htc in the name
Anything with smithmicro in the name
Anything with providers in the name
Anything with htccdma in the name
Anything with Verizon in the name

Needs to be ignored by the task killer. If by chance you kill one of these while they are running rosie (an important bit of htc's sense framework) is going to force close and sense will reload as a result.

Also:
Touch Input
Google Settings provider
IQRD
Dialer
OMADM
Should be ignored as well. These are services needed to run the phone.

My battery life is great and gets better all the time. The update seems to have helped. I also fixed the awake issue with a reboot. Thanks for your help.

Ditto as I have seen marked improvement since the update and some tweaking of different apps.
