HTC battery thread

I upgraded to the 1750 m/amp battery which uses the same battery door as the 1300 m/amp battery. I'm glad I made the jump and it does make a difference.

I don't have a prob anymore with battery. Rooted 2.1 with the 1750mah battery, and I leave the 3G, and GPS on all the time, and I use Pandora, Navigation, and Surf off and on all day. At bedtime, I'm looking about 15 to 25%.

1. Download Handcent or ChompSMS.
2. Set it up as you like.
3. Open stock htc messaging app, disable all notifications.
4. Close htc messaging app, and never open again.
5. reboot.

It's a bug in the htc app. They have admitted, and fixed it. Waiting for carriers to distribute.

Before I did this my wake time was at 47%. Now after doing this and turning the phone off and on. (I'm assuming thats what reboot means?) ... my phone is now at 88% wake time. What did I do wrong??

What does wake time even mean?

gbhil is a smart guy, but I use the stock message app and Ive never had problems. To save battery life I would think about the apps you use and what kinda resources they use to run, keep wifi n bluetooth off when not needed and keep apps up to date means alot

Extended battery life?

I like to think so, this is bogus. My battery lasted no longer then man treading through a winter storm.
