1. Download Handcent or ChompSMS.
2. Set it up as you like.
3. Open stock htc messaging app, disable all notifications.
4. Close htc messaging app, and never open again.
5. reboot.
It's a bug in the htc app. They have admitted, and fixed it. Waiting for carriers to distribute.
Seidio Innocell 1750mAh Slim Battery for HTC Droid Eris - eBay (item 170470904388 end time May-09-10 16:02:44 PDT)
Found this on ebay for only $39.95. I'm about to buy it based on everyone's feedback.
Just thought I'd share.
gbhil is a smart guy, but I use the stock message app and Ive never had problems. To save battery life I would think about the apps you use and what kinda resources they use to run, keep wifi n bluetooth off when not needed and keep apps up to date means alotBefore I did this my wake time was at 47%. Now after doing this and turning the phone off and on. (I'm assuming thats what reboot means?) ... my phone is now at 88% wake time. What did I do wrong??
What does wake time even mean?
