HTC Desire ROM

Reboot recovery and plug your phone into the computer start an adb shell then type format SYSTEM: format DATA: format CACHE: it should say its formatting after you type in the command
After you load the nandroid wipe data and cache with the phone

Do the full adb wipe prior to install, then nandroid restore, and wipe data in recovery on the phone itself after install.

well update, after 2 bootloops, I got to signing in my google account. I then signed in my second google account, and it started to bootloop again.

I am going to try to wipe it again.

maybe. I certainly have no idea :). Trying it again, I won't sign into the second account until I get everything running.

Edit: Nope, bootloop trying to open the keyboard to sign in originally. Damn. Guess i'm waiting for the next ril/release.

edit #2: Made it through login, and got to the home screen. Then bootloop. Disappointing, it looked so beautiful

Edit #3 (to not spam the forums like I did last night): it works! 3 bootloops later, everything is stable. God, this is gorgeous.

I'm sure happy that I didn't have all your problems but I'm still wondering since I didn't wipe after install if I should go back and do it again and this time follow all the directions. Everything seems to work on mine except FC when trying to open SetCPU for some reason it locks up when trying to get super user permissions.

How do you turn off data to be able to make a call?

Go to widgets settings widget and you will see one for mobile network
Dr try to adb push a different kernels their in the same place you got the Rom

Worked for me
Edit just restored music junk with out issue

haha tell me about it. Either i'm being really stupid, or just getting unlucky.

Ran for 10 minutes, try do d/l Gvoice from the market, and going into a bootloop as we speak.

Yeah android! haha

Edit: annnd back again. I guess my bootup process involves an M logo, Droid eye, M logo, Droid Logo to Eye, black screen, Droid Eye, and finally the lockscreen. Weird.

Did you do the full system wipe yet and try to reboot into recovery and do a adb push of the .45 kernel if you get the bootloops try the .42

Yes, did the full system wipe before, and data wipe after I installed the phone. Will try the .45 kernel now.

Ok just download the zip and pull the kernel from it put it .on your sdcard then or tools folder and do an adb push
flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
cat /system/lib/modules/tiwlan_drv.ko > /sdcard/tiwlan_drv.ko.bak
cat /sdcard/tiwlan_drv.ko > /system/lib/modules/tiwlan_drv.ko
mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
sync
