HTC One A9 pre order , shipping wait room

I love how most preorders say they will ship on a Thursday or Friday, that way no one will ever expect to get it until late the following week.

I preordered the unlocked opal silver, I have really like the iphone 6 type body but hate the OS. I plan on using this as a backup/going out phone when my nexus 6 is feeling a little big in my pocket.

I'm really pumped to get this thing! I know lots of pre-ordered items will actually arrive early, so I keep wondering if it will arrive on or before the 6th, or if they will actually ship it out starting on the 6th, and it would arrive on the 8th with two-day shipping?

What do you all think? Am I letting wishful thinking get the best of me here by hoping it might arrive on or before the 6th?

I know somebody in this thread mentioned the 6th, where has that date actually come from? My preorder for a deep garnet had no mention of any date. :-[

I called HTC. They said they have no knowledge of release date. I told them on the 7th. They said it's just rumored.

When I talked to htc last night about the sim card for the sprint version, he mentioned that when we "release them on the 6th" and I think it's mentioned on sprint's website as well as well as here when they first announced the A9.

The clear case from HTC came today. It is not a bumper, it does have a clear back. We have hopes that all of the dimensions will be right. And that none of the essentials are covered up. Quality seems on par with the under $10 crowd on Amazon and eBay.

Anyone else buy they Topaz gold model? Im getting more and more concerned about the ship date every day there are sites around saying it and the garnet color will not be available until some time in December. If this is true ill will be highly frustrated that they did not mention that on the pre-order since i desperately need a new phone my One m7 screen just broke and I get a new cut on my thumb each day waiting for this new release. Despite emailing HTC and asking JasonMacHTC and HTC on twitter they have all blown me off with no reply at all...

In sweden the grey are the only model on sale, but it is in stock so i could go get one today if i wanted to.

but i dont want grey. rather want gold or red (red most of all) but that was not due until next year by some posters. Also sucks paying premium for a 2/16 device when the 3/32 is way cheaper in the US and thats even WITH uh oh, wich eu/sweden wont get.

we get less, pay more (alot more even counting tax and exchange rates)

Hopefully that means they will ship them on the 6th, but my AT&T store will have them for sale on the 6th for $99 and a two year contract. Starting to think about picking one up Friday to try out and pick up a Square Trade Warranty in lieu of Uh Oh. Will still have several hundred bucks left in my pocket.

When I called yesterday, I was told that there was still not an official release date. I am not in a big hurry as I am still enjoying my 2015 Moto X PE but looking forward to the A9 to use when I want a less bulky phone.

AT&T says they will have them for sale today, the 6th, so what exactly is HTC saying?

Just checked Sprint, ATT and TMO sites. Only one that doesn't have the A9 is TMO. They are only offering the charcoal and silver versions. I'm hoping that doesn't have any meaning for the availability of deep garnet. I'm assuming then that we should be getting some notification shortly.

Ordered the dark garnet three days ago. Not in a huge hurry but it would be nice to have it before I go on vacation on the twentieth. It would be nice to have some idea when they will ship. Frustrating that you can walk in a store and buy one today.
