i dont know what is wrong with my htc m8, it seems to experience slight lag for not even a half second but its really annoying, when playing cookie run and subway surfer, i have tested with other games with no problem, tried closing all running background apps already, optimized its cpu usage, still no difference, i have even tried to lower the settings on cookie run, but still no changes, my ram usage is lower than half but still....
Mine is especially inclined to switch itself on in (or out of) a pouch case after I have deliberately selected 'Power Off' because OFF is a contractual requirement of my job. It is rigorously enforced for security purposes.
Because I know it sometimes switches itself on I've enabled 'Do Not Disturb'.
If/when the phone switches itself on in my pocket. The first thing to come up on screen is a rather confusing warning that you have 'Do Not Disturb' mode enabled and offering, with a single tap, to disable it. This sits proudly ABOVE the dots to enable pattern unlock, and so with a single inadvertent movement the phone could then un-mute itself as well.
Because this could lose me my job, I also enable airplane mode to stop any messages or call events from triggering the phone making a sound and announcing its presence to the world.
I've tried scheduling the Do Not Disturb timer too but the phone still switches itself on and the single tap message to switch off the 'Do Not Disturb' mode still sits above the pattern unlock.
It really should not be THIS hard to get the phone to JUST SHUT UP to prevent it getting me the sack.
FWIW I tried 'Silent' mode and disabling motion launch. Neither of them solved the problem.
I haven't seen any of the issues you guys are reporting but I do run into two problems:
1) People seem to not be able to hear me very well when talking on the phone regularly. It happens primarily outside but the same walk I do everyday with my S3 works fine so I'm curious if it's a problem with the mic on my phone or what's going on... I can hear them fine but they usually struggle unless I tilt the phone and put the bottom near my mouth when talking....
2) Weird head phone issue. One pair of headphones I use for my ipod and s3 and laptop works perfectly but when I plug into the htc one i only get output out one headphone speaker. Before when I restarted teh phone that would fix it but lately after a restart, I'll play something and i get audio out both for a second and then it switches to one. But I have tried other head phones on my htc one like my Bose and they work fine.... something wrong with the input on htc phone or something kind of wonky with the headphone jack on the headphones.....
Any ideas? Thanks!
My double tap works works without picking up the phone.
