HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I use Amazon Cloud to auto upload all my images to a private cloud drive. If you install the app on multiple devices, it keeps it all nicely separated in folders.

On my cloud drive, is a "Pictures" folder. Inside that are subfolders called "HTC One" "Nexus 7" , etc.. inside each of those are the exact images/albums of the respective devices they came from. It's REALLY nice and super handy.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

In reality this was my sister's HTC One. I'm just reporting this issue for her. My HTC One hasn't had this disastrous event occur.
I failed to set up any kind of cloud syncing when I setup the phone for her. I feel bad, but how could something like this happen??

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

This isn't really a bug, but I'm not sure where else to put this.

Anybody else notice that you can't see anything on the screen with polarized sunglasses when you turn it to landscape? I figure this is a product of Gorilla Glass, but it's a pain sometimes.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

BUG or Feature?: When in App drawer, cannot use the back button to exit out to the home screen, must use the Home button.

Also: If possible, get them to change that NFC icon, you don't need it at all.. either make it smaller or have an option to disable ongoing notification for it.

Yup... I noticed this too, and it's quite annoying.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I change my alarm sound in the menu but every morning it continues to play the default sound. The menu shows I have the alarm sound set to metal. I don't get it.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Hello everyone,

I am brand new to android and to the HTC One. So far I love the phone but I have one issue (I don't know if it is the phone or if it is a settings issue). When I plug the headphones in the phone does not recognize them and instead uses the built in beats studio. Does anyone know what this could be? This has been a problem right out of the box.

What do you mean does not recognise them?, the beats sign in the top notification bar is just the beats equaliser setting which can b turned off from settings if you don't want it

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

yea I do have a screen protector on, if that is the reason why, why does the whole 4.7" screen respond to touches just fine? and like I said originally the home and back button start to work again if I lock and unlock the screen, like it is a soft reset or something.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

what I mean is, when I plug the headphones in they do not work. The sound still comes from the device speakers.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I'm having two different strange happenings with my HTC One. The first occasionally when I hold down the power button to turn it off/restart instead of giving me the shutdown menu the home and back buttons start blinking and it takes several tries to get the menu to show up.

The second and more concerning this is 3 times today while shooting in Zoe mode in daylight, I had strange glitches. Here is what I mean:

Anyone else having these issues. I think I might clean off my personal data and bring it back to the Sprint store tomorrow.

Have you looked at the voice input settings? Everything checked?

Does the headphone icon appear in the notification area when you plug them in? Have you tried different sets of headphones?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I'm having a weird issue where the stock music app isn't recognizing my music. I put it in a regular folder labeled music. I decided to delete th music I had on there since the stock app separated several of my albums in a attempt to fix it. I synced it with HTC sync manager it created a "mobile" folder and inside a "music" folder. This is when the stock app wouldn't see my music anymore. I deleted the "mobile" folder and now HTC sync doesn't even organize the music into folders. Just throws the music files onto the phone. Still stock music app doesn't see any music. So I deleted the music again and used the old school method of drag and drop into the original "music" folder. Still nothing. I downloaded power amp and in every instance the music showed up. Just not in the stock music app.

No, the headphone icon does not appear when I plug them in. I will be trying different headphones today (I couldn't find any yesterday to try out)

Sounds like you borked the stock apps database - don't know if you can go to manage apps and force stop/clear data/clear cache and start over?

If not then it sounds like you will have to factory reset to get the stock app to work properly.

Here is how I use the music app - and it seem to work well- Created a file in the Data folder called Music. Copy music into the file using drag and drop in windows. I have set up sub folders by artist, with sub folders in them for albums. I don't believe the directory structure is necessary, as I just dropped some music directly in the music folder and the app correctly grouped by album. The directory structure just helps me when organizing.

Your suggestion didn't work. Not sure how I could've messed up the app by deleting the music but oh well. I'll reset the phone after work.

Well, sorry it didnt work. It was worth a shot. I would just stick with one method to manager your music on the device in the future. Don't drag and drop if you are going to use a sync program, don't use sync if you are dragging and dropping.

Yeah, I always stick to one method but was looking for a alternative since my initial method was screwing up my albums. Thanks for the help.
