HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE indefinitely delayed at US Customs for i

Interestingly when I was at BB yesterday, I asked about accessories and they told me that "everything" was already in and out back.

I asked what "everything" meant as in did he mean various accessories and the sales person (this is a hardcore really knows what he's talking about person and not a typical salesperson) smiled and again said "everything".

I have no clue if that's reality or not but that's what I was told.

He's lying, I work at Best Buy Mobile and out ASM told us yesterday that no store in the nation had gotten any of the units. Accessories maybe but units, definitely not

Do the consumers who have pre ordered their HTC EVO 4G LTE have any grounds at a class action lawsuit against any of the companies? We aren't trying to get ant compensation from the companies, we're just sick of these bull patent lawsuits that the consumers could give a about. We just want a good product, I mean who really cares about some hyperlinks?

No, you can get your money back. Just have to wait a bit. But instead, maybe write an excellent letter to the Patent Office, and Apple. :-)

I am not sure what case you could make. You would have to show genuine damages, such as you were guaranteed to be given a phone on an exact date and time and if you didn't have it in your hands, you financially suffered as a result. I seriously doubt anyone could convince a court that they absolutely had to have the EVOLTE on a particular date and time or else a calamity would ensue.

If there are any lawsuits, it will be Sprint, HTC, and Apple that will be in the mix.

Same here. Makes me very sad. Though someone else posted that their new delivery date is next week. I wonder if Amazon will just have very limited stock, and only the first few people that pre-ordered will be able to get one that soon? And I ordered from there as soon as I knew about it.

Re: HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE indefinitely delayed at US Customs f

That's what I don't get! Ship out the pre-orders if they're sitting there and free to go!

As have been explained in other threads, Sprint uses UPS logistics to handle their shipping needs. So when they say they are labeled and sitting in a warehouse, that is indeed true - But its not Sprint's warehouse - Its UPS' warehouse. And their warehouse I am sure is setup to be able to handle international shipments and those shipments, just like the lead paint toy cars coming from China are handled in a secure 'customs' area in the warehouse where they cannot move until given the go-ahead from customs.

So its completely plausible UPS has them all labeled and ready to go, but they are unable to get them through customs still.

I'm July 3rd so I'm sure it's a placeholder date......... I hope......

Re: HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE indefinitely delayed at US Customs f

You have 1 day shipping. Others have two. The ship date is the same for everyone, it seems - it's just the delivery date that isn't (at least for Amazon).

We will see what happens i have a feeling this week coming is our week

These slow news days with no new major info are really killing me :c I really hope we don't have to wait much longer than next week.

Re: HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE indefinitely delayed at US Customs f

the only thing I can think of is that the Amazon date is indeed a placeholder... it's nothing that they've heard from Sprint that I'm aware of, cause we're still waiting for Monday to see what happens with Customs

Funniest thing just happened when I called a local Sprint store. I said you have a dummy unit of the Evo LTE? She said no and that the phone probably won't ever come out because it violated 13 patents.

Had a good laugh at that one.
