HTC Rezound vs Galaxy Nexus

Payed $159 for the rezound but how did you some people in this forum only end up paying 50 or even free for it?

If I didn't have major problems with the data connection on the Galaxy Nexus, I would probably still have it. I liked the phone well enough otherwise. I'm glad I did have the problems I had though, because the camera and screen are so much better on the Rezound. I think a GNex without any signal issues is a fine phone, but lacking in areas I find important.

I paid $300 to pre-order lol.

Do I win? :P

well you bought on release date, and I believe at that time rezound was the highest end phone. well I'm only complaining because I just bought the phone last week and still payed 159. coming from droid charge I'm very with the phone.

It's still the highest tech-specs phone out there isn't it?

The only area it's "lacking" is ICS, but I don't consider that to be lacking. I'm on ICS with mine, and it's only marginally smoother than it was on GB.

Yes, I believe tech specs wise its still a high end phone!

I bought mine at $299 in late December but got $100 charged back to my Verizon account when the dropped the price to $199 shortly afterward. Of course I had to ask....and more than once.

Yeah I went from GNex to RAZR Maxx and I miss pure ICS and screen resolution. However, the reliability of the Maxx is what I need for work. It really depends on what your needs and wants are?

Also if your upgrade is in April, I'm not sure I would necessarily go with any of these devices. New devices from all parties should be released shortly after if not before.

I just think its interesting/funny that there is a thread similar to this in the gn forum and the opinions are totally opposite. I was thinking if the op of the gn vs rezound thread in the gn forum would post here what would happen. I got my answer, totally expected reaction of course.

We all bought the phones we have and we will defend them. I love my GN, you guys love your rezound. Right on!

How much do the rezounds go for?

Two GNs and a droid razor.

Oh sorry I thought you were asking what it's worth. ;) There's a thred saying $99 online at Big Red, but I don't want to look because I paid $250. That's what happens when you have to have the best and can't wait.

Why did you have to remind me of that. If they decide to carry that I've gotta sell my Rez. It's not looking good from what I last read about it. Have said anything since the petition thingamahbob article?

I just jumped ship to the GNex last night and honestly I am way happier then I was with the Rezound. I gave it a two month shot but it just didn't work out for me.

Main Problems:

The phone did not get good reception at my house. The GNEX is doing better.
The Rexound seemed sluggish at times. Probably because of Sense. Tried Rooting yesterday and that just led to other problems.
After the OTA I started getting frequent boot-looping. It happened 4 times in a two week period and the only solution which worked was a factory Reset each time.
