HTC Software update available incl. Menu button fix

I'm unfortunately still getting Sense restarts after this update. I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it, anyone else out there experiencing the same thing? I also just took a nap, woke up and turned my phone on to realize that wifi and 3g had disconnected, just like before. Double checked to make sure the update didn't reset my wifi sleep policy and it's still set to "always on." Everything else is working well.

Ahhh already found a bug with Sense 4.1..

If you go to settings and start scrolling down, as soon as you hit the edge, the accordion animation isn't smooth at all..it sort of just explodes into the accordion animation. If you don't take your thumb off and start to scroll back up, it will start collapsing smoothly, and as soon as they all touch, it will jump back up a few inches...annoying

Can anyone else confirm that their phone is doing this?

It must be in stages cause I can't update my phone. I even paid the bill thinking that was issue but nope. I'll wait though my city is the last one to get everything.

Did you try shutting down and turning back on? That sometimes works.

You need to install SmartSync Disabler from Google Play Store.

Hmm interesting I do have smart sync for my emails turned on. I turned it off now and I'll see if that helps. Thanks for the input!

SmartSync disabler stops SmartSync from turning off your WiFi.

All you just did is turn off your email from syncing automatically.

Those two things are totally unrelated.

In the music player u no longer have all the equalizer choices just beats on or off

so now you can add any app to the car mode. this is big since before, it only allowed you to use htc music app, but not google play music or other podcast app you might use.

I noticed in Gmail that the text now fits the screen in portrait mode for HTML email. It didn't previously but it would fit in landscape.

The lock ring on the lock screen doesn't get stuck (also it's now silver instead of yellow/gold).

The app drawer, "time app," (I suppose native Sense stuff) has neon green as the highlighted item now. Swear that's a different color.

The lock ring and highlight color are related to your Skin. Sense 4.1 switched me, and I assume you as well, to the default HTC Skin. To change it back to what you had before, go to Settings > Personalize > Skin (Under the Display Tab).

My phone does this as well. Doesn't bother me, but it is curious that it doesn't work now when it did just fine in Sense 4.0.

I have to say that there is something in the 3g and wifi speeds. Previous 3g speedtests were .5 to a high of 1.25 mbps. I just got 2.3 down and .82 up on 3g. On wifi I just got 34.5 down and 38.49 upload. Previous wifi was usually in the 25 range on the same router. No other glitches so far. Foxfi works fine. No accordian on the settings issue.

for those of you who are experiencing boosts in 3g, where are you located? Sprint rolled out updates to their network in several cities coincidentally with the release of this update. Could be that that's why you're seeing the performance increases.

How do you do this? I would love to use Rhapsody and Audible in the stock car app.

Just noticed network mode was changed to lte/cdma. Make sure you change it to cdma only untill you get lte.
