HTC Vigor!!!

I've been considering Verizon because of the vigor but they want a 300$ deposit . I guess my question us is it worth it? I'm on Sprint using a EVO 3d but I'm in phoenix and there is no 4G available yet .

Verizon has ask you for 300$ deposit, Why??? Looks like the Vigor is coming OCT.8. But who knows??. Wait and see.

If you have no credit they ask for a deposit, I believe.

No credit, bad credit, it's all the same. They want a deposit if your credit score is lacking or questionable. I'm lucky I was on Verizon before my divorce or I would be on T-Mo right now hating life...

When I got my first Verizon phone around 19 I didn't have much credit so they wanted a deposit. I got around it by having a family member sign up and get the phone. Then a few months later filled out a transfer form and got it signed over without the deposit. That was like 10 years ago not sure if it changed.

Not until later in the year/next year. It will be out slightly ahead of the Prime, and the Prime will be first with ICS!

I got to stop reading tech blogs. Every time I think I get the best thing out there, reports start coming in about something better and I get depressed.

I feel the same way! I bought the OG Droid and a couple weeks later the brand new HTC Droid Incredible came out! Ya just can't win

I would wait until the iPhone 5 and Nexus Prime are announced, so about late October, just so you see what else is coming. I don't think HTC Vigor will be released before January.

Plus the Bionic may drop in price after 60 days.

I doubt it'll be running ICS. Look how much longer the Thunderbolt was released after the Nexus S and the Thunderbolt came out with Froyo.

If this comes with an anemic battery (1500 mah or less) and bump charging "feature," I'll pass. That's typical HTC for you. Though I do love the screen on my Thunderbolt.

I think I'd prefer OMAP dual core until Krait phones drop (probably Q3 2012). So hopefully this doesn't run Qualcomm.

The iPhone 4 was announced by Verizon early Jan and released early feb with NO spy shots! Droid X2 took a month, the droid 3 took a month =) Vigor will be out early Oct i think since the leaked MAP has been 100% right so far http://www.droid-life.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/leaked-verizon-roadmap.jpg But sense 3.5 will make me pass. looks too much like a windows 6 phone running sense.

Krait by Q1 2012 is fairly certain. The q3 is for quadcore. It would be unusual for HTC to use omap since no current devices uses it.

My guess its the msm8660 which is the s3 snapdragon dualcore soc.

An HTC with an TI omap chipset would be like Chevy putting a HEMI in the new Camaro. HTC has a business agreement with QualComm to produce their chips, and seeing how QualComm is an equity investor in HTC, doesn't seem likely to change anytime soon.

If you want to go with the TI chipset, I think the Bionic launches tomorrow...

Krait hasn't even sampled though to my knowledge. Takes about 8-12 months on average for phones to come out after silicon begins sampling. I'm talking market availability not announcement.
