Android Central Question

I need help badly!

I have no idea why my apps dont give me sound/visual notifications after a few hours of me not touching my phone. Ive gone into the apps that i want to have me notified as soon as i get something (put them on prio, set it to still be open when phone is "asleep", turned display on at all times etc.) Im at a loss :(

Also, why is it that when im on a call the alarm clock doesnt really sound?

apps: skype, digitone (US texting app), 2ndLine

See my reply for a person not seeing "ring" notifications below:

Yes, thats why p30 pro has a better battery. It kills in the background even though you optimize the battery to not close it. The other option is to find the app, and cannot recall now since i don't have this hyped phone anymore, but somewhere in the settings - Apps - Ring, select it to launch manually (it would be set to automatic). Doing this will give you notifications 95% of the time. The other option is to remove "power genie" app using ADB(google it for Mate 20 pro) and that might work, but you will loose the battery consumption stats. Sorry, cannot help much here without the device.

go to settings, search battery optimization, set the apps you want to 'not allowed'. also go to battery, app launch, set the apps you want to 'manage manually' with all 3 options enabled. these should do the trick
