Huawei Selling the 6P Direct -- with Caveats

According to Android Police, Huawei US is selling the 6P direct, but with some compromises.

1. Only 32 and 64 GB options are offered.

2. Aluminum and Graphite only.

They are selling the 128 GB. I think it's still available in Aluminum.

I've tried ordering the Nexus 6P directly from gethuawei.com, but I simply cannot get it to work. I go through the process of placing the order and then get an error saying the billing address I used is incorrect. I contacted my bank and verified the billing address is indeed correct. My bank also said that a charge is in fact going through each time I've tried to place the order, but then the merchant does an immediate credit back for the same amount. I called the support number on the Huawei site, but they still say the address is wrong. They also said there is no way for them to place the order over the phone. I tried a different card and the same thing happened. My brother-in-law tried to purchase one and the same thing is happening to him. Their website blows.

I just had a terrible experience with Huawei trying to order the 6P. I placed the order Monday, but my credit card blocked it. After Customer Support told me to call my bank and unblock it, I did that within 2 hrs and tried again, but my order was still blocked. This time Customer Support told me they were forwarding my case to their Fraud Team, and I'd get an email with instructions how to complete my order. It's now Thurs and I never got any email. I called Cust Supp AGAIN, and all they said was "we're sorry, but we did unblock your account, but you can't order now we're out of stock." They never sent me an email and in effect just trashed my order. GRRRRRRR!

Fortunately, Google has it back in stock (well at least Cust Supp told me THAT), and I successfully placed my order through Project Fi. HOORAY. Plus I still got the $50 Play Store credit, and they'll give me a 50% discount on a case (but I won't get that Welcome Kit). So now I hate Huawei.
