I got the update!

Not sure if anyone had this problem or not, but i'm trying to check for the update, but it says its checking for update then just goes back to the menu. Tried rebooting the phone but it just goes back to the menu screen. Not even a box saying no update available. In Atlanta, GA here.

Downloading on my wifes phone right now. Seems to be progressing very nicely over a 4G connection. She is asleep so this will be a nice surprise for her in the morning if it works as well as everyone is saying it does.

Updated my phone shortly before 9PM CDT here in Spring Hill, TN. Download took less then 5 min and the installation was about 5-7 minutes. Installation successfully completed and all looks good so far.

The 3G/4G toggle is there, the Data widget is there. Now, I sure hope there are some hidden battery fixes in there as well.

Give me 1 week and we'll see how it's going regarding battery usage and other issues.

I'm having the same problem as many others, I click check for new, and then it starts checking, then gives me the error message saying that service is unavailable, when clearly I do have service

That is strange. I am at the same area and when I checked the first time at 8:15 the update was there. Have not installed it yet, do not want to lose the free hot spot yet.

Got it in eastern Iowa. A+ so far.

Got it in Vegas. Had to force the install by switching to CDMA only with LTE/OFF app. It pulls the update in 1x fine. Then before 2 minute timer for update expired, switched back to CDMA + LTE/EvDo and downloaded OTA on 4G. I had the "Service Unavailable"message when checking for update initially.

I am in OC, and had to use LTE on/off to switch to CDMA when checking for the update. Otherwise, I would get the service unavailable message. After that, I switched back to LTE and the update downloaded in about 5 minutes over 4G.

Did the same thing and it worked like you said. I'm in Orange County too

its available for me. but i like my free hotspot so im holding off till its forced on me.

My hotspot now tells me I need to subscribe and tells me its $30 so I assume its the unlimited one. It let's me subscribe from the app directly. Can anyone else confirm?

yeah, I tried the cdma only trick but it just hangs while downloading this is just sad

Getting the same as some where the update popup window just goes away then nothing(been like this for a couple days).....I wonder If I should clear data on the updater? Any thoughts if I should? I don't want to mess anything up.

Hangs while downloading? Took me well over 15 min to download on 4G. Entire process was over 20-25 min total. I can imagine on 3G it would be quite a while.

I managed to download it and all that, but I don't have the tabbed app drawer now... oh well
