I have a G4, you have questions — ask away!

If you uncheck all of the quick settings, does the bar disappear?

Also, unrelated to the quote, a few more questions.

Does the phone put out a lot of heat when it's in use, and/or does it throttle the processor a lot?
Do you have a comprehensive list of all the preinstalled apps, from LG, T-Mobile, and others?
How would you compare performance on the homescreen and in specific apps (does Chrome stutter as much on an S6 as it does on your G4, etc.)?
Are there featured you've found on the phone that LG didn't advertise?

Some of the quick toggles are interactive, like Priority mode, so you cant just uncheck everything. The bar is always there.

The phone got a little warm after two rounds of Vainglory, but not as warm as the S6 during the same.

Phone is nice and smooth everywhere on the homescreen and launcher.

a somewhat related question.... am I correct in assuming that
the G4 does NOT have some kind of ultra power-saving mode
like the recent Samsung phones?(S5, Note 4, S6)

Nope, this is all we get.

I'm really curious about in-hand feel, I wasn't a big fan of how the G3 felt in hand - but the Turbo (which is almost identical in size) feels great in-hand and I really like. Curious how it stacks up against the G2, G3, and Turbo - just overall how it feels in-hand.

Apologies that I haven't gone through all 10 pages to see if this has been asked already but is the G4 Battery the same as the G3? I have 3 G3 Batteries and was wondering if they would work in the G4 or if I'll have to get new spare batteries.

Thanks

Hey Russell, just wondering if you can post some pics from the front camera. This phone will probably be the phone I buy for my niece and she and her friends are all into selfies and what not.

Is the battery the same as the G3? I know the rating is the same (3000) but is it the exact same battery - meaning those with extra batteries for the G3 can use in the G4?
Curious about this too. Will the G3 battery fit and work in the G4?

What's the amperage of the charger that it comes with? Does it give an estimate of charge time when you plug it in since it has Lollipop, and if so, can you give an example of such? Just trying to get an idea of how much Quick Charge would be missed with this phone, especially since it has such a big battery.

Does the phone have any sort of NFC like the S Beam on the galaxy s4, my wife and i both have s4's and will be able to upgrade at the same time, the ability to beam pictures, videos and the like from phone to phone with very little effort has us spoled. So i really hope the g4 has it or something like it

My wife and I have the G3 and we use the built-in SmartShare Beam feature. It's fast and I think it uses Wifi direct to make the transfer. The NFC sharing feature is too slow for video but we were able to transfer pictures back and forth.

How is the audio quality (music through earphones) compared to the Note 4/S6/Xperia Z line? In terms of clarity bass, etc.

This is super important; is there an option to add a button to the navigation bar that drops the notification shade down? It was on the G3 :)

On most Androids (I believe) you can just swipe down from the home screen anywhere (don't have to touch the notification bar) to pull down the notification panel. This gesture based trigger is much more efficient than a button IMO. Maybe this only works because I have Nova installed? Not sure.

I have this on Apex as well. I just liked having the option to bring down the notification drawer with a button press because I tend to end up swiping through home screens when trying to swipe down.
