I have a G4, you have questions — ask away!

On most Androids (I believe) you can just swipe down from the home screen anywhere (don't have to touch the notification bar) to pull down the notification panel. This gesture based trigger is much more efficient than a button IMO. Maybe this only works because I have Nova installed? Not sure.
A swipe down gesture on your HOME SCREEN is not more efficient than a button press from ANYWHERE. Your method requires a button press (home), and then your swipe gesture whereas the more efficient method is just a single button press.

This is why I don't understand why so many people are head over heels for the Google Now launcher. I don't understand why having to press home, then swiping over is a better way to access Google Now than just swiping up from your navigation bar.

You can still swipe up from the home button to get to Google Now.

I got g2 on release day on verizon. Been a very good phone to me. Have a question about speaker placement. On back? On the bottom of phone? Or maybe top and bottom of phone?

Apologies that I haven't gone through all 10 pages to see if this has been asked already but is the G4 Battery the same as the G3? I have 3 G3 Batteries and was wondering if they would work in the G4 or if I'll have to get new spare batteries.

Thanks

It looks like the G3 battery has these little feet that make it so you can't just slide it into place on the G4. When I tried it, the battery almost fit but these feet got in the way and I wasn't willing to force it into place.

What's the amperage of the charger that it comes with? Does it give an estimate of charge time when you plug it in since it has Lollipop, and if so, can you give an example of such? Just trying to get an idea of how much Quick Charge would be missed with this phone, especially since it has such a big battery.

Still measuring battery life and charge time against QC and standard, but so far charging hasn't been slow on anything.

Its 1.8A just like the G3's. I've been happy with my charging on my G3 so it won't be any different on the G4. It isn't slow folks as Russell has pointed out so no need to be worried here!

NNOOOOO....lol! Thanks anyway Russell! Think we could shave those little (plastic) feet down without much damage to the actual battery so it could fit??

I wouldn't. A new battery is way cheaper than a new phone, or a new leg, if something goes wrong.

Could you post pictures of the LG dialer, messenger, and contacts list? The ones on the G3 are awful looking, with dull ugly colors.

Now that it's been a few days, what have been your impressions of its battery life?

He said earlier that he did not like to address such issues on phones that may not have the final software version loaded. That is pretty understandable as it would be a shame to condemn a good phone on the basis of something that may not be final. I guess it would also be bad to offer praise on something that might not be true in the released version :)
