Hello all, I'm not sure this has been asked but I just picked up my G4 last week and took advantage of the leather back, battery and charger promo the same day I purchased and have yet to get a conformation aside from the robo response after the submission. How long does the promotion items process normally take ?

You and I are in the same boat. I would love for LG to prove me wrong, but typically, I don't expect anything less than 4 weeks to actually receive the "goods". If I'm wrong, I'll cheerfully, take my new burgundy red leather back, extra battery, and charger, on an earlier date. I was initially expecting to have no choice but the plastic back when I got the phone, and was expecting to order the black leather. As luck would have it, I got Black leather out of the gate, making my "other" leather choice difficult, lol. The red looks quite nicer than I expected in the photos. We'll see I suppose.

I understand that you can elect to hide the home screen buttons. how does that work ? lets assume I select to hide the home screen button when using Chrome browser. now - how do I get them back when I need them ? Is it worth getting the G4 over the Note 4 or some other phone? I need a removable battery for sure. I played with both devices for a bit and I found that the G4 scrolling is a bit weird. When I do a fast scroll, LG keeps registering a tap and opens up an app. This isn't the case with the Note 4. I'm looking to get away from the hardware home button and TouchWiz. I'm currently a bit worried with the lag and unregistered tap issues with the G4 that's been mentioned a lot. How bad are these issues?

Just switched from LG G2 to the G4.

Haven't had it 3 hrs yet and ive noticed the camera features i had on my g2 i cant seem to find or are not available on the G4.
#1 beauty mode
#2 color filters (sepia, b/w)

G4 has widgets for everything except tasks.

It actually does have a widget for tasks (called Calendar tasks)

If I understand your question correctly, I think the answer is to swipe up from the bottom bezel of the screen.

I've never had lag/unregistered tap problems, but some other folks have... I think it's a carrier thing (I'm using a Canadian model). There are lots of good suggestions that people have come up with for touch sensitivity (check out the Common Issues and Solutions sticky http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g4/544443-common-issues-solutions.html ) but lag seems harder to nail down as to what causes it, aside from the likelihood that carrier software is the cause.

new LG4. connected to home wifi. try to connect to netflix.....getting "Please make sure that your device has network connectivity and date and time settings are correct". Changed time when I activated today as it was EST and I'm in Idaho so wanted MST. Signing in w/ Gmail and user/password are correct. Why problem??

Thanks for the reply. I have decided to go for the Note 4 instead. To me, its just not worth trying to resolve it. Better if I just stick to the hardware home button.

I'm a HDR photo beginner - I just took my first hdr photos - It took the 3 photos but didnt 'put them together' is the best way to describe it. I can see the a, b,c files of each 'photo' but cant open them up in any type of program and see any actual photos. With the lg g4 camera app you shouldn't need to do that - it will just produce one hdr jpg file.

Mine didn't have it on the Homescreen when I bought it...seems to me I dug it out of the google folder, or in the app screen, and dragged it over.

I heard Verizon took away the ability to assign custom ones for each contact, more of a random thing. I haven't tried it, but go to Settings.Sound Notifications.Ringtone ID. It says "Compose ringtones automatically based on phone number of incoming call", an is on or off.

Whenever I take any video on G4, it has right and left as blank when I do full screen on TV/laptop.
Any idea how to take video which will have no blank space in right and left side in full screen ?

Is there a way to change ringtones for each contact. It appears that you can, but I've not been able to.

Verizon didn't take away this functionality.

Go in to your People (contacts) app, select the person for whom you want to set a custom ringtone, hit the Edit button, scroll down and click on the default ringtone and change it to whatever you want to from the list.

You can also change the LED color per contact the same way.

Thanks, but here's the issue. I try to do that on my G4 and can assign a new ringtone, but if I try to put that person in my favorites, it changes the ringtone back to some default favorite ringtone. That means anyone in my favorites (Speed dial) has the same ringtone, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Edit: Disregard this, is seems to now work; which is even more confusing!
