I have a G4, you have questions — ask away!

Guys, just updated my LG G4 to Marshmallow last night and hoping everything goes better but I dont see any major improvement instead of the sound profile is easier to choose. The problem is now unable to download or install from Goggle Play Store. It seems a running bars but no progress appeared. I have tried to download a file from Internet Explorer and succeed then tried back to Google Play Store to do the same. The result is only running bars no progress. I also have tried to clear cache to the Play Store, Download Manager and uninstall update but the problem is not solved yet.
Need help please how to fix this.
Thanks in advanced

I would try a hard reset and hopefully that will fix the play store bug some apps may misbehave after going to 6.0

Do a backup etc of everything first though

I cannot reverse an image in my gallery. Have looked at all the edit settings. I want to flip the image so that it is not the backwards mirror image. Help!

I have driving mode and auto reply both set to off, but every time I turn on my bluetooth headset, the phone turns on driving mode (leaving the slider set to off) and rejects every call with the auto reply that I am driving. How do I get it to quit doing this (I use my bluetooth a lot around the house as well as in the car [so that I can answer calls hands free])?

Might want to take a look a putting the pics through editing apps such as "Image Flip" or "Photo Editor by Aviary" both are good

Use the notification bar, however don't just tap the driving mode button, long press it. This will open a "driving mode settings" panel. From here you can change some settings. Tap "My place for Driving mode", then remove the check mark from "Car" (which is what I had) or whatever option you have there that has a check mark.

This should still allow you to automatically connect to cars Bluetooth but turning off annoying driving mode I have a feeling it's attached to your location and your car

If you have a LG-G4 let me know what you have for smart settings like my screenshot below in next post

Let me know how it goes and it also might depend on what carrier you are on AT&T has a annoying driving mode app I had to disable it when I had ATT phone

For post above

My smart settings are like this...still allows connecting to Bluetooth but none of it enables driving mode.

Question, do you happen to use Verzion+ Messaging?

I have a LG G4 and I cannot figure out how to stop the text notification from beeping for every text during a conversation. I am already on the screen conversing with someone I do not need it making the noise every time the other person replies. Is there a way to stop it? It is very annoying especially to those around me.

The only way you can turn off notification sound for incoming texts while in a text is just mute "Notifications" while you are constantly texting someone and your ringtones etc will all work still for Calls etc just pull down bar and click cog icon

I will see if there is an app that can do this for you.

Hope this helps for now

hello
please advice,
I have H815 with 505 sn, its been 4 months now,
I didn't update firmware till the last week then I started one by one
first V10c the next day received V10d and update
the next day received V10e and update
the next day received V10f and update

the next day received V20c that is obviously the MM
I stopped here did some search and found this issue with everyone
what shall I do? go on with upgrade? or the board issue will appear after the update??

Is V20c means MM all over the world?

or every country/Region has it is own MM number/name?

There's no link between the software updates and the hardware failure. There is a manufacturing defect with the G4's that may or may not present itself in your particular phone.

Thank you-this is a really annoying feature. My Samsung galaxy S4 didn't do this and that is the way it should be

Thank you but someone said if you update the board may be damaged!

I did see one person that claimed an update caused the boot loop, but that's not exactly what's happening. There's a defect, like a weak solder point, where something is physically separating on the motherboard when repeated heat expansion causes the break. An update can create more heat than normal, so it's certainly possible that someone's phone boot looped during the update. If that happened, it's purely coincidental. It would have been just as likely that heavy gaming could cause the defect to surface. It's not a problem with the update itself.

thanks - i just bought an lg g4 - have two questions:
1. i cannot get the sub folders in outlook to sync to phone
2. cannot get outlook meetings in calendar to sync to phone

I have a new G4 (my first smartphone) running Android on Verizon. Is there a way to use my bluetooth and the voice commands to tell it to dial a number by saying the digits to dial?

Tommy

When your BT device accesses the Voice Commands feature on your G4, the voice should say "Say a Command", and you tell it something like "Call John Smith, Mobile", and it should dial the number. Or, say "Call 42566573096". When you want it to dial someone in your phone book, you need to tell it which number for the contact, i.e. Mobile, or Home, or Work as without that differentiation, it gets confused (even if there is only one number for the contact).

I found that the VC system is pretty poor on my unit, and almost never recognizes a command through the Jabra BT speakerphone in my truck. It's better on Speakerphone, but still pretty bad...my old Samsung Convoy was 100% better. When I first got the G4, it was pretty good, so I'm hoping a Full Reset will help as I have other bugs in my G4 that are getting annoying.
