Whoa wait a sec. I know why the 'new' one doesn't have the TB in it.

The second ad is from a store that doesn't sell Verizon. Any of you familiar with Best Buy know that they are contractually able to sell only THREE of the carriers in each store. That particular store sells Tmobile, Sprint, and AT&T, so they would not be able to sell Verizon as well.

That first ad is from a store that sells AT&T, Verizon and Tmobile, but NOT Sprint. Hence no Evo or Evo Shift.

So there you have it. This isn't some new ad; this is an ad from a store that doesn't sell Verizon in the first place.

Well I would agree but this store had droid x's and incredible's everywhere so I think they actually didn't sell sprint so I don't get it at all.

I can't speak to why the store had it, but that's the reason why the ad is the way it is.

Just got back from picking up the Dreamcast Collection for 360 and picked up the ad on my way back to the 360 games and the Thunderbolt is in there.

So, I don't know. I'm not getting it at Best Buy anyway.

I wonder if it is because I am currently in a non 4g area so they may have not ever planned on really advertising it? I mean sprint actually has 4g here and not Verizon so that could explain the evo addition

That's not possible. The inclusion of T-mobile, AT&T, and Sprint in that ad mean that Verizon is not carried at the store that this ad was meant for. As I said previously, Best Buy has signed a contract with all of the carriers stipulating that each best buy store may only sell three carriers in any given location.

That could be. I was going to ask you what part of Houston you are in. I thought Houston was an LTE launch city though. The My Touch 4G isn't in my ad.

I live in Houston but I am currently at Texas Tech in Lubbock which is where I got this ad. I am from Katy area which definitely has 4g.

Yeah, if you search for the ad for Lubbock, TX on BB's site, you get the ad you showed us. So like I said, there are stores in this area that don't sell Verizon.
