I have an EVO ...

There currently is NO HTC phone that uses gorilla glass. I repeat the Incredible is ABSOLUTELY NOT using gorilla glass...

I personally thought the Moto Droid was the only Android device using it. I also remember a scratch test being done on a Cowon device that was made with Gorilla Glass at one point or am I just making this up!? I only remember because it was cringe worthy, taking all kinds of sharp objects to the screen...

Wrong. Several of them do. Specifically, the Incredible. This was sent to someone after they asked HTC the same question (glass or plastic) about the Incredible a few weeks ago.

Dear Keegan, I can understand the interest in the knowledge of the HTC Incredible Screen. The screen display is actually an Opaque Aluminum-Silicone Base. It is called Gorilla Glass, which is impervious to the very real threats of key scratching and localized pressure. Gorilla Glass is an unscratchable, unshatterable material used as a protective window for your mobile phone. are u able to perform a written unboxing .. what exactly we will get in the box ... 8gb micro sd card ... any case or skin? the HD2 came with a skin ... headphones, screenprotector?

I read 17 pages and did not see this question. Will the EVO/Sprint allow USB or Blutooth tethering out of the box. Will I have to buy an app for this? I have the wifi hot spot on my Pre and it really is a great faeture, but I could live with USB/bluetooth tethering at the very least. $29 for mobile hot spot is way too much, especially when I have it free on the Pre right now. I know 2.2(not on Evo yet) will support both, wifi hot spot and tethering, but Sprint is sure to block the hot spot, but maybe not the tethering. Will tethering work right out of the box? not about to root or rom the phone on day 1... If anyone can answer this I would be grateful. thanks!

it will not work out of the box to tether ... u will have to buy an application like pdanet or wait to the devs to root the device

Coming from a palm pre I have grown accustomed to that 16 million 24 bit screen, compared to the 65k hero, tp2, and similar devices. But does anyone know that the 65k limit was a windows and android 1.5 limitation and the evos screen can dish out more than a measly 65k?

Real question, does the evos screen look vibrant like the pre or washed out like the hero?

Hey guys, was wondering does anyone know if the EVO will come with a Mini HDMI to Reg HDMI cable for you to hook up to TV? I assume no since i'm sure they would want to sell as an accessory, but thought I would ask. I was wondering because if its not going to come with it, I probably will look at ordering one from the web. Let me know if anyone knows!!

not included. search molex in forums.

The Hero screen is glass. The Incredible screen is Gorilla Glass, straight from HTC"s mouth. The HD2's screen is glass. There is no reason to believe the Evo 4G is not glass.

How is Gorilla Glass different from the other "glass"? Harder to scratch? To crack? Clearer? Cheaper? Lighter?
