I just received a fairly small software update. No obvious difference to my UI etc. Any ideas?

It is currently December 23, 2014, nearly 1AM. I just received a notification asking me to perform a software update for my Galaxy S5. I cannot find any differences. Any idea what it was for?

It was probably an update to some security policies and stability improvements. Could have also added some bloatware.

Not necessarily true in this case. I got the last update notification with the option of "do not install" a week or so ago. Today I have a notification for a software update with only "update now" and "update later" as options.

Based on this I am saying this might be a different update than the one earlier that was discussed.

How to find out using Verizon's "My Verizon Mobile" app:

Open app.
On the HOME screen scroll to the bottom. Click on Verizon Support button.
You will leave the app and be taken to your web browser: hit continue.

On the verizon support page find your phone, click on the "Support for Samsung GalaxyS5" button.
Click on How to Use
Under GOTO: Operating System and Software:
Samsung Galaxy S5 Software Update Benefits.
Enjoy reading about tracking, emergency calls, and camera shutters as well as bug fixes.

Can someone link to the Verizon update/changelog page.? I am having trouble finding it and my Verizon app isn't working

Never mind, found it... It was under "Benefits of Software Upgrade".

I just updated and I can now confirm that this update was the same one that I was allowed to decline last week.

I can't stand how Samsung forces you to either update or get a pop up every other minute telling you to update now or later. My old thunderbolt was a great phone until the ics update. At some point I might not want to update my S5 any further and I certainly don't want that pop-up at that point.
