I wanna know your opinions about the notch.

Enabling a notch on a phone that doesn't have one is absurd. It's not the same thing and doesn't look the same

Yeah, I get that and my question wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Here's a serious, if hypothetical, question. Say there was no option to hide the notch and the 3XL was offered with 2 different screens. A notched 6.3" inch as is currently available or one with a slightly smaller screen with no notch. Which one do you think would be a more popular seller? Among "normals"? Among enthusiasts? Which one would you buy?

I'd almost certainly go with the unnotched.

Sorry...soapbox wasn't directed at anyone specific...more the media types...the youtube reviewers, who all have an opinion. I was on a NOTE....and didn't move to the iPhone X because of the notch. Always the notich..Notch notch notch. Look at the notch. Try it. Try the photos and videos and facebook and what ever...do some stuff NOT thinking about the notch. And maybe it just disappears....kind of like pink elephants....thats all I was implying.

I get what you're saying. I really do. But phones are such a personal thing and I honestly think the notch would bother me even during regular usage. But that's my opinion right now. I really want to spend more time playing with demo 3XLs to see if the notch is something I could get accustomed to.

I don't really have an issue with notches, as I am used to them with the iPhone X, but this notch is much more noticeable. That being said, you also get more information in the status bar like battery percentage which you don't on an iPhone. So this notch is still noticeable, but not a big deal to me in actual usage.

Yeah it has it, but 99% of the phone is perfect so I don't care. Plus I'm used to it from Apple phones over the past year.

It only kept the few YouTube reviewers from buying it. All I'm saying... Go play with the demos... And see the cool things the phone does... Not to see if the notch will bother you. play a game, listen to music, look at a web pages, check out podcasts. The phone is cool

Yep - I want to demo the 3XL a bit more to see if the notch is something I could live with.

But "millions"? Are sales for the 3XL that high already? Pretty amazing.

Not really.

I'm a "default" kind of guy and even if I ended up with a notched phone and wasn't 100% stoked with it, I'd still likely avoid using what I felt was a hack to hide it.

On the other hand, if there was another model with a screen that was physically unnotched, I would go with that one over a notched screen with zero hesitation.
