Well Huawei promised 2 years updates,so unfortunately it won't include Android p as it is most likely outside the two year window.

Yup. And the Pixel also only gets two year updates, so the honor 8 getting oreo is pretty good. The Pixel 2 will get 3 years though, if you need the longest updates

Oh I'm fine. I don't keep my phones anywhere near 2 years. I might replace my Honor 8 to another Honor phone when they're much cheaper
