ICS Port!

i just followed the dev's instructions on how to properly install. i was coming from liberty 3.0 v2. didn't even have to flash to .605.

wipe cache/dalvik/data
mount and format system
mount system and install rom

question is.. how do i boot into cwm.. can't seem to figure it out :/

reboot and the led will turn blue for a few seconds, press volume down and you can access recovery there.

Just to add a bit of detail for this reply, when the blue LED hits and u push Vol Down, chose Stable Recovery. That is the option that will bring you to your latest flash of CWR. If you chose the others they will only bring you to Moto recovery.

Which ROM are you speaking of? There are a few ICS roms now over at rootz. And I have no clue about "C-Spire Milestone X" as Ive never heard of that before.
Drop a few more details on us in both topics and we will see what we can do for ya

For all intents and purposes, the Milestone X is C-Spire's version of the Droid X. I believe the only difference is that it's unbranded. As far as the ROMs go, I wouldn't mind trying either Liberty or MIUI. I've had CyanogenMod when I had a Desire, but they don't have a stable ICS port yet for the Droid/Milestone X.

There is a MIUI-ICS hybrid that was ported for the DROID X that is functional
There is also a ICS framework port that is stable-ish for the DROID X
There is also a CM-9(ICS 4.0.3) ROM in beta currently
Liberty I have no idea, haven't read up on that in well over a year

I do not know how a Milestone X would work with our DROID X roms but at least you know what you are looking for.

The beta build is now live at the link source!

We will never see ICS released on the DX via Moto/Google(the official build), so we need a 2nd-init based rom such as MIUI/CM on the GB kernel to incorporate as much ICS(4.0.3) as possible which is what the above is.

Camera does not work on CM9/MiuiV4. And that will be the answer until further notice. AKA dont hold your breath.

On android 2.3, we were able to set up an action when double tapping the home button. I used this to get into my gmail, is there any way to get this back?

Are battery profiles gone with this version too? We used to be able to set the battery to "night mode" and it turned off data during certain hours.

Also, my led notifications aren't working even though I turned them on in the settings.
