If true, are you still interested in this phone at $830?

I think I have read the same lines about the high price of this phone before..... Almost every new flagship phone (not including the Iphone).
We all balked at $500, $600, $700 & now $800
We'll pay up.

Lateck,
We won't all pay up. Difference now is you can get a comparable phone for half the price. $800 for a phone is not justified.

Sure anyone can... But tons buy these top end phone and that's how the prices stay up.

Can and do.. Two different things :).

Seems like it is going to be true and yeah I'll still be interested it just might take me a few months to save up and afford it : (

And you know this how?

LCD screen, 3200mah battery, always on 2nd display, LG'S history, and several YouTube reviews of preview units, where the battery life was described as being so so. I still love the phone, and since the battery is removable I'm not too worried about it, but I would guess that a backup battery is going to be a requirement for many of us.

So you are basing it off preview units? Also this is one of the first phones with Android 7 so it is hard to compare to other phones. You have the option to turn off the second display so it is not always on.

My biggest issue with battery life is that it is different for everyone and there really is no true way to know what it is going to be like.

Battery life tests - GSMArena.com

Because its way down the list on this battery test, and several youtube reviewers have noted it.

Battery life is just one aspect of a smartphone. I have yet to buy a phone because of how long the battery lasts. Having said that, my needs don't warrant that as a concern because of my lifestyle. If I'm at work I can always top off, at home most people can top off. In my car, I can top off. When I'm using a phone with a removable battery I can swap. Right now I'm using a phone with a sealed battery and I can't do that but I get by. With rapid charging it's no longer as critical to worry about the battery.

Yeah battery life is not that much of a concern for me. I sit at work all day and with quick charge I just plug it in about an hour before I leave but most of the time I don't need to as I have been on a computer all day. The only issues I might run into is on vacation when I am away and either taking video or pictures all day. For this I usually just carry an external battery pack.

No, I'm basing it off preview units and ALL the other things I listed. As I said, I still love the phone, but I would not expect to be an incredible battery performer.

Exactly, that's why I said I wasn't worried about the battery life probably not being the strong suit of the phone.

My battery would last all day if Verizon would post V20 preorder information and if I stayed off AC

If Google can ask $650 for a phone with a 5" 1080p display, then LG can ask $830 for a phone with a 5.7" QHD display plus a mini-me display above it. Especially since Google is now positioning itself as a new OEM in the marketplace and distancing its new hardware division from all those Nexus phones that Google didn't really have any control over in the first place.

So why value Google's OEM chops any more highly than LGs (who actually did make several of those phones that Google didn't make)?

Price didn't impact my interest level on this one. I think it sounds great on audio and camera and if I needed a 4th device this would be on the shortlist.

Definitely something to consider if you value audio quality and camera controls.

I still maintain that it's probably best to wait a bit for a price drop since LG phones drop a lot in prices after a few months unless you need a new phone now.

Verizon pricing hasn't changed on LG V10 or G5
