If you're getting the 6P -- Why (or why not)?

I'm getting it for the camera. For that alone its totally awesome. The fact that the rest of the specs are awesome is icing on the cake. This phone is really next gen to me- its like the difference between the htc g1 and the evo- at least for me.

Stock, 64-bit processor, updates, fingerprint and fast charging.
Only thing missing for me that I really want is waterproof. Even if its just a little.

Nexus 5 is good phone but always wanted more from battery life. I passed on the Nexus 6 because in person the build quality and size phone was not to my liking. The Nexus 6P has similar profile as the 6 Plus which I am familiar with and like. Lastly I am hoping the Nexus 6P battery life is same or better than Nexus 6. I want SOT 5 and about day half battery life with my usage. The N6P looks great in frost white.

I just keep going back and forth on Aluminum and Graphite. The latter looks sleek in the light, but I like the contrast of the silver with the black strip. It looks quite elegant #firstworldproblems. Aluminum it will be, lol.

We can't really say how good the camera is without properly testing it.
The hardware looks to be EXTREMELY capable, so that's a start.

It took me several hours to decide on color for nexus 6P. I quickly dismissed the silver version because of the first crop of hand on photos did device no justice. Then I had wait for hands on videos to get look at frost white version. Finally when I had looked at few phones and hands on video I went with the frost white. Graphite just did not look good to me.

I am SO close to pulling the trigger on this right now, especially because my current phone was having major hiccups yesterday. But, I'm trying to exercise a little impulse control, as I know we're supposed to be seeing the Moto X Force/Droid Turbo 2 next month, and I've seen teasers for new LG and HTC devices slated for October, as well (though no one seems to know exactly where they will fall in the feature spectrum); and I want to at least take a look at the Sony Xperia 5 Premium, just for comparison purposes.
But, the 6P has nearly every feature I wanted in a phone, including an RGB notificaiton LED which is becoming more and more rare but, for me, is a necessity. The only feature I was hoping for that it doesn't have is wireless charging, but that's more a convenience I've come to like than a deal breaker.
I'd also like to get a little more actual data on battery life, find out how the 810 v. 2.1 handles the heat issues, and to get some more info on the camera - though what I've seen even in the past few hours is impressive.
I do wish there was somewhere I could go to actually hold the phone. Probably my biggest concern is just how huge the thing looks, as compared with my LG G2, which is the largest phone I've ever owned. I've recently held a Note 5 and iPhone 6 Plus and don't know if I could deal with having a monster like that in my pocket all the time. And I'm really hoping Marshmallow offers an on-screen navigation button to pull down the notification shade (like my G2), as it looks like that would a be difficult one-handed operation without a button.
Final (though extremely minor) concern is to find out whether you see silver through a scratch on the charcoal chassis, which I know was a problem with the black HTC Ones (at least the M7)
As I look over all this, most of these are relatively minor concerns (except for the battery life and heat, which I do not expect to be issues), so I have a strong feeling I'll end up with a 6P before all is said and done. I really like what I'm seeing here.

I'm holding out until I know for concrete certainty what kind of panel it's using. I've had bad headaches and eyestrain from certain flickery panels, such as the galaxy s6 I had to return... If it's all good though, I'll be getting this!

I'm considering getting it mostly for usb-c tbh. I usually put my phone to charge when i'm half asleep and it's such a pain in the *** getting it oriented correctly. Depending on reviews I may get it and keep it for a couple of years (which is so unlike me).

Nope! After spending $750 for my 64GB N6 less than a year ago and with the recent price drop of the N6, there is NO WAY I will be wasting my money to get a new phone that won't give me much more capability than I have now. I love my N6. I'm very happy for now.
I doubt that about the pricing! Only going up...

The 6P is the first phone that hits all of my wants/needs in a phone in this cycle, so buying it was a no-brainer for me.
I want that plain vanilla Android. I hate the skins. Get out of my way and let me get through my day. Get me my updates as soon as they come out. I want to be on the bleeding edge, and I know it sometimes hurts. I'm okay with that. I've been Nexus since the N1, so I'm used to it by now.
The 6P has a nice collection of features. The Moto X Play also has a nice collection, but no fingerprint scanner. The Note is also pretty nice, but never again, TouchWiz. I'd have to root that right out. The Sony Z5 looks interesting, but I'd have to import it from the UK, and really? It's not 2012 anymore.
The band 12 VoLTE kerfuffle with TMO doesn't bother me, because I'm going over to Project Fi anyway. Too much money to be saved not to. The money I save on my cell bill will easily pay for my 128GB Aluminum 6P in 10-12 months.

Yes, our (my wife and I) HTC ONE M7's are getting a little long in the tooth.
Glad to see the replacement program is roughly $4 per month essentially, much cheaper than sprints. Buying the phones without having to renew contract will allow my wife and I to switch to Fi if we get the itch to ditch our unlimited data (she doesn't quite utilize the unlimited data enough to justify the cost).
HTC ONE M7 is the biggest phone we've owned so not sure how this big guy will work for us. Excited to find out.

I'm getting the Nexus 6p because I like everything about it. From the design, typc c connector, camera and many more. I also like the built over the previous Motorola Nexus.

I'm feeling the pinch of spending $750 and the phone's value has dropped like a rock. That said, being able to use my finger to sign into LastPass is tempting.
