I'm rooted. Can I safely use the latest Evo4G ota update?

I'm new to rooting and would appreciate help. My (original) Evo 4G is rooted, running stock and s-off. I'm not sure if I can safely download the latest ota update without destroying or damaging the root and superuser access I have now and don't know if it will switch s-off to s-on.

Be patient and I'm sure someone familiar with the EVO 4G will answer this question for you.
 
If you try to install the OTA update directly from Sprint, it will not destroy anything because you're rooted... it just won't update.


You can install the rooted version of the OTA ROM. You will keep your root and not lose any of your data. It will be almost as if you ran the OTA update itself, except the radios aren't updated.
