Just placed my order for a Note 3. The order confirmation page says my plan will "remain the same" and "no change". So far I still have my UDP. Delivery arrival is scheduled between 6/11 and 6/19. I also ordered a SIM card cutter from Amazon, as I'm upgrading from a Droid Bionic. The Bionic uses a mini-sim card that I'll need to cut down to micro.

Hmm okay, so BB still works but Costco doesn't work anymore. Anyone try ordering from Amazon? BB doesn't have any sales right now

I have UDP on primary one one secondary. Two other secondary with 2 gig data. The two unlimited lines are eligible for upgrade. Am I out of luck since I can't upgrade primary line?

You should already see that your contract end date has changed. You won't see any change with phone until you put old sim in new phone.

Indeed the date has been extended to years. Hopefully the old sim activates the new phone without a hitch.

I keep getting the "Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again." error so I went to Amazon to see if it would show me as eligible. It gave me this message

"Unfortunately, we are not able to upgrade the account type associated with xxx-xxx-xxxx on AmazonWireless at this time. Please contact the carrier for additional details."

The account is setup to use our business tax id and our plan is the NATIONWIDE TLK&TXT SHARE 1400 plan. Is this my problem?

When I processed my order last night on BB I was given the option to receive a $100.00 BB Electronic Gift Card with my purchase. I accepted it during the checkout process and later received an email with instructions on how to redeem it. the phone was $199.99 but I did see that VZW is selling the same phone at $99.99. Maybe this is their way of competing with the new Big Red pricing.

if I transfer my upgrade from udp line 1 to line 2 and order a phone but activate on line 1.....will line 2 still be eligible in another month for an upgrade?
looking to upgrade line 1 but both my wife and daughter want to upgrade next month....don't want to lose their upgrade.

I wouldn't mind going to a tiered plan, since it might save me money, but my parents use my mom's 4G phone as a wifi hotspot, since they can't get cable or DSL (yeah, I know, they're the reason UDP is going away) so they use about 40-50 gigs a month, obviously a tiered plan isn't feasible with them on it.

Anyway, here's the current status.

Line 1: Primary, smartphone, me, UDP, month to month/upgrade available
Line 2: dumb phone, upgrade available, month to month
Line 3: smartphone, UDP, month to month, upgrade available

My parents are 2 and 3, my Dad (2) hasn't upgraded in forever, so I scavenge his upgrade occasionally. My mom is line 3, and doesn't want to upgrade right now. My wife is with Verizon as well, but because of complications she's staying with her parent's plan still (they can't change their plan or they might lose a discount from a company they no longer work for), so they don't want to drop her off and let me pick her up.

I want a Galaxy S5. Will Best Buy work for me? Will I be able to get OTA upgrades? I read something about that being a problem with the old sim, and switching to the new sim after a while? I'm really confused, and a little scared. If I screw this up and lose UDP my parents might not have internet anymore.

I tried last Friday and got the "problem" email from BB, I finally get my update reset last night and tried again, the first time i did not have a billing password set up with VZW, and this time i went in and set one up before i did my 2nd order, it has been almost 24hr sense i placed my order and still no "problem" email,

So you might keep that in mind, if you dont have a billing password set up, do so before you place your order.

Go to Verizon website, sign in, click on upgrade my device, under your current phone there will be an option for' transfer upgrade', click that and choose your mom's number, click next, add gold note 3 to cart, skip through accessories and device protection if you don't want any, in the review cart section type in VZWDEAL in the promo code box at the end of the page, click ok and the new price 149 should appear, from there choose your shipping option and pay for the phone...remember the total would be 179.99 plus tax due to upgrade fee...I hope that clears it all for you

Critical step: When the phone arrives (if you choose to have it shipped) make sure you activate it on your mom's line first, reactivate her iPhone and then you can use your old SIM in the new phone...also buy a SIM cutter

Does this trick still work? I keep getting hung up on the BB site. I believe its because I have a business account. I can't find any other explanation. I am trying to upgrade Line 1. So here is a rundown of my account. Hopefully someone can help.

Line 1, UDP, upgrade avail
Line 2, 2gb, no upgrade
Line 3, 2gb, no upgrade
Line 4, UDP, upgrade avail
Line 5, 2gb, no upgrade

So if I am following this post right I can do the following. Transfer upgrade from Line 1 to line 2. Order S5 and when it comes in activate it on line 2. Once activated go online to VZW and reactivate line 2's old phone. Once activated take SIM out of Line 1 phone and put it into new S5. Go onto VZW and activate that phone on Line 1? Line 2 will still have 2gb plan and Line 1 will still be UDP?

I am giving this a shot! I have the UDP and went to the Best Buy website and purchased a SG5. Upgrading from a Motorola Droid Razer Maxx. Hoping that all goes well!

You could try the Nokia Stand up wireless charging stand - I think it is $49.99 over at the ATT store. It's a nice looking stand and it will use the Qi charging of the G2 while giving you the stand up feature. I have the Nokia DT - 900 that was a bargain at $25 (although ATT recently had a sale for $5 - disappeared pretty quickly - with free shipping no less. Another Qi charger is the Tylt charger at Verizon - very expensive @ $59.99 but works great on my Nexus 7 (will only charge in landscape mode) - not sure what orientation the G2 would need to charge off it.

Always upgrade through the dumb phone line by either using the upgrade on that line or transferring upgrades to that line:

UDP phone and dumb phone with upgrade

Line1 UDP
Line2 dumb phone (Upgrade available)​

1. Order smartphone using upgrade on Line2, select data plan
2. Activate smartphone on Line1
3. Pending data plan on Line2 will drop off in a week

Just to let anyone know that is following the thread or trying to figure this out. I called BB and they confirmed they cannot change a business plan. He said I could not upgrade my phone through them because of the business account with VZW.
