Re: Verizon: How to keep Unlimited Data and get phone on subsidized price
I had mixed results.
The good news is that my phone got shipped last week, received yesterday, swapped the sim card from my 2nd line phone into it, and everything works just fine. UDP is intact...for now.
This morning, I tried upgrading my phone on line 1. Since I had to use my primary line to order the 1st phone, the upgrade shows used on my primary phone number. So when ordering the 2nd phone this morning, I transferred the upgrade from line 2 to line 1 through the Best Buy ordering process. It allowed me to place the order, but then I got the "problem with your order" email about an hour later.
The problem is now both lines are showing the upgrades are used and both contracts have been extended as of this morning? I don't know if it will reset the one line once the Best Buy order cancels. If the dates and upgrade eligability doesn't reset after the order cancels, then I will have to go to Verizon and try to convince them that I never upgraded the line and see if they can reset the upgrade date.
Fun, fun...at least my 2nd line is upgraded successfully. Not a total loss.
