Nationwide talk and text
L1: TDP: Upgrade available
L2: UDP: no upgrade
L3: basic phone, upgrade available.

I was trying to transfer the upgrade from L3 to L2, and do a device payment plan. But it is asking me to change my plan from Nationwide to their new Verizon plan. Guess I cant do that?

If that wouldn't work, than I was just going to do a device payment on L1, and use it on L2, but again, its asking me to change my plan from Nationwide to the new Verizon plan.

I was on the last page before ordering my subsidized iphone 7. My CED is 10/5/16. If I choose the 2G plan and receive the phone in the mail destroy the SIM then sell on ebay. I should retain my UDP correct? Anything else I may be missing? Do I have to worry about my billing date too?

OK, do I tried to transfer upgrade, but online I have to buy from Verizon. Best Buy is not showing option to transfer upgrade.
So, can I order from Best Buy using UDP upgrade from line one, trash SIM, and activate on line 2 UDP without problems?
Would it be safer to activate on line 3 then swap?

I would recommend to change the billing cycle date to be safe. But in theory you should be ok.


You can sell in cl or Swappa if you want

Yes . but never put the phone on line 1. Or you will lose UDP

I just ordered a subsidized iphone 7 from Verizon and choose the 2G plan. I exited and went back in and I see that I do not have an upgrade available anymore BUT I also do not see my contract extended 2 years. Whats going on?

No, I actually went through the entire process and paid for the phone and 2G plan. The phone is to be shipped in two days. To clarify, I exited the Verizon website and logged back in and it does not show my contract extended two years. It still shows it is going to expire on 10/5/16. Now what?

Oh the contract doesn't reset usually until after shipment,and usually on or before the date that you get the phone.

Good news! My contract has now been extended two years. You were correct once I received the email that the phone shipped it changed. When I go into activate that phone it now states: Our records indicate you recently purchased a device for this MDN but have not activated it yet. You have the option to proceed after you have activated your new device, or you may contact Customer Service at (800) 922-0204 for further assistance. I presume this is the "PA" message?

Now the only thing is what is going to happen to my billing? Will the next bill only have the UDP that I had been paying for or will the 2G plan I choose be on their as well? My next payment is 10/24 so right now I can not see next months bill. Any ideas on what to expect?

You should just be charged for UDP. the plan change to 2g would only happen if you activate the phone on the UDP line in which udp upgrade originated

Use the upgrade from line one,transfer to line 3, then activate on line 3 first.then you can move it to line 2. Never put it on line one or you will lose UDP.

That's the recommended method . you can also transfer the upgrade from line one to line 3, then activate directly on line 2,but I would recommend the other method
