SO I could realistically get the DNA now...
depends on whether or not Verizon closes this loophole by then or not. So no guarantees. Verizon can stop you from transferring an upgrade at any time. So far it seems to be working but who knows what will happen tomorrow.and when the S4 comes out transfer my update from my unlimited line and get that as well?
You have to have a line that either currently does not have unlimited data on it or that you are OK with it losing unlimited data. Or you can add a line to an existing family plan and it will have tiered data plan on it until you switch the new phone and put a dumbphone on it.Do we have tp have a Dummy line? If we dont, will your method not work?
That means transfer an upgrade from one line to another and use the upgrade on the line the upgrade is transferred to, right?alternate upgrade

Just be sure and keep checking your line to make sure the system doesn't switch you off unlimited. If it does, you have 14 days to get it switched back so be vigilant. And don't take "no" for an answer.Exactly, or effectively the same thing in a one-step process.
yes, you got it right.Just want to make sure I understand....,
I want to upgrade my unlimited data phone (line 1) but I'm not eligible for an upgrade yet. So I can use a dumphone line (line 2) and order the phone at the subsidized price through that line. Then when I get the new phone activated on line 2, then activate the dumphone back to line 2, and then activate the new phone to line 1 and still keep unlimited data??
In order to deactivate the dumphone (line 2), do I have to take it into a Verizon store?
No, you can do it online. Go to Verizon Wireless, sign into your account, go to My Verizon, Activate or Switch a Device. Then you choose the line and it will automatically in the system have saved the dumbphone's info since the dumbphone was on that line before.I meant in order to REactivate the dumphone, do I have to go into a Verizon store?
Does anyone know what happens to a grandfathered unlimited plan with a smartphone if I swap the phone out for a mobile hotspot or a tablet? Will I lose the unlimited data? Will the monthly price of $40 be reduced to the tablet price of $10/month. If later I want to put a smartphone back on it will I be able to and still have unlimited data?
Call VZW and ask, but my guess is you would lose unlimited on the line.Does anyone know what happens to a grandfathered unlimited plan with a smartphone if I swap the phone out for a mobile hotspot or a tablet?
