Im able to make phone calls but our iphones arent showing up on Verizon, there are no pictures.

can you text and get data too? Can you receive calls? If you can do all of that, then the phones are activated on verizon.

I don't know what to say about the lack of pictures. That's wierd.

Yep, dropped down to 2gb like expected. The phones did show up on VZW, it just took a damn long time. I'm on the phone with a sup, I emailed him all my reciepts and screenshots. I'll let you know what goes on after this.

Man, what a nightmare, LOL. I do not recommend this. I talked the initial rep, nothing was working, she had no idea what was going on so she put me through to a supervisor. I emailed him my proof. I sent him the receipt from my order from BB online. I also sent him screenshots of all the windows throughout the entire ordering process. It shows "Your data will not change", etc. It's pretty clear. No where in the process or in the screenshots does it say I need to pick a new phone plan or data plan, it said everything would stay the same.

After about an hour-hour and a half of being on hold and me complaining and what not, I was very polite as was he but I wasn't taking any crap. Long story short he told me he would forward this to a "panel" LOL. Pretty much it's a department that takes cares of issues with grandfathered plans, etc. He said he would forward all the info I emailed him and told him to them. They would decided whether or not I get unlimited and he personally will contact me with-in 72 hours. I don't know what will happen, sounds like he's trying to save his own **** but who knows.

With my friend IRL, no one called her back and she made numerous phone calls and finally, after many calls got her unlimited back. YMMV.

I don't think so at all. They don't have to give you back unlimited data. Period. I would not let this drag on too long. I would return the phones no later than 3 days if you don't get unlimited data back.

The bottom line is, doing it this way, either you get lucky with the first rep like the OP in this thread, or you are in for lots of work and even then you may still lose unlimited data if you don't get lucky.

I tried to stop you from going this route but you wouldn't listen to me. Adding a line is FREE as I told you over and over and over again if you sell the third iPhone. And you avoid all of this hassle.

It is way less hassle to sell an iPhone than it is to deal with Verizon. The OP obviously got lucky with a tired, over worked rep. You were not so lucky.

It doesn't bother me a bit. If I don't get it in 72 hours I can just return the phones and get my upgrades back. Then I can just do the dummy method. If the BB way goes through it saved me from having at add a line which I don't need. It was only a bit of my time, plus its only phone calls. If they don't do it which I can't see them not giving in, I'll get some kind of deal out of it anyways. I just don't see them giving me the run-around, delaying me, just to call me back in 3 days to say no. He could of just said no right there. I also told him I'll escalate it more if need be. He admitted that this was a big problem and apologized for it. He said he would make no promises but would try and get it for me. And you said the op was lucky with the first person he talked to. How can a rep do it but not a sup? He said he would of if he had the authority.

Edit: But yeah if I exhausted all my resources and I just cant get it back then I'll return everything and get my upgrades. With IRL, did she talk to a sup and was told by the sup she would be called back no later that 72hrs?

yeah, no one called back. She had to keep calling back. Took a lot of work for her to get unlimited data back.

I understand, but I don't have the money right now to purchase a 3rd iPhone even if its only $224.99. I'd have to wait a week to get the phones from VZW plus I don't have the time to try and sell it also. There was a reason I went to BB in the first place, $0 for the 5c and $224 for the 32gb 5s. I paid $240 for two iPhones at BB. On VZW It would have been $430 +taxes. That huge for me. I understand your way, I do.

And I agree with her If this does work I'll never do it again, it's not fun but I had to try. I could always purchase phones from another BB location. Verizon and BB screwed up, not me. I'm just a guy who purchased 2 phones from BB. I had no idea my data would change? It's not my fault BB has that error on their site, it's VZW responsibility also to make sure that BB is meeting there standards. I'm the innocent guy who just spent "hours" online ordering phones, spent an hour driving to BB, waited in line for another hour to pick them up, only to come home and find out my data is gone! WHAT! Where on BB does it says I lose my data if I upgrade? Not everyone know that if you upgrade you lose out. And plus I don't have time to drive back an hour to return these phones. If I was VZW I would just say "Here is your unlimited, but you if your want to upgrade again you will lose your data next time". "Oh, and we apologize for the confusion that wasted you many hours of your day. We also appreciate your new "2 year agreement which will have you continuing to pay us $200+ a month". "HAVE A GREAT DAY !"

Something positive is going to come out of this, unlimited data or one hell of a credit, lol. But thanks for all your help. I'll keep everyone updated. I might even call back in 2 days and bring it up with someone knew. I dont think I'll wait the whole 72hrs to hear back from him.

Are you positive I talked to an east cost rep? It's 12:40am EST right now here I talked to the sup around 9:50pm. I didn't even know the phone lines where open at this time? How do I know if I get a west cost rep lol. And what would I even say? It's probably in my notes that I called about this issue. Wouldn't it look bad If I try so soon? Sounds like I'm trying to get over on them.

Edit: I tried calling, they are closed. All I can do it check my balance or report my phone stolen. It said "our hours are from 6am-11pm 7 days a week". I'll call first thing in the AM. Any suggestions on what to say? should I ask for a sup right off the bat?

I think the supervisors may be worse to talk to because they are going to know that they shouldn't switch you back. The first line reps have the ability to do and are less trained than the supervisors so they are more likely to do it. I would just call back and try to get one to do it.

I would just tell them repeatedly, I got switched off of unlimited data and I shouldn't have been. Please switch me back. I never authorized anyone switching me off of unlimited data. Please switch me back.

I would suspect that with persistence, you should be able to get unlimited back. Yes it could be a bit of a hassle. Personally I would not do it this way myself but if someone wants to go on for the fight, I say why not?

I would suspect that with persistence, you should be able to get unlimited back. Yes it could be a bit of a hassle. Personally I would not do it this way myself but if someone wants to go on for the fight, I say why not?

Like I said, my friend did but it took so many phone calls and being put on hold and talking to jerks and faxing and then repeatedly being told she would be called back and then no call back, it just wasn't worth it to her. For me, it isn't worth it, either when it is so easy to sell iPhones. I guess if someone has maxed out their credit cards and can't float the $125 + tax for the iPhone until it sells (both of mine sold in 2 days), then maybe it is worth it.

I would. The first line reps can switch you back if they want to. Tell them you are going to return the phones if you don't get switched back and aren't going to wait too long for that to happen.

I just sold a new iPhone 5s that I got with my added line's upgrade and netted $450 after the cost to purchase the phone + tax + upgrade fee, shipping fees, listing fees and paypal fees. Now I did get a great deal on the phone on Black Friday, but even if I had paid the full upgrade price, I would still have netted $325, which is $13 more than the added line costs me for 24 months.

If you sell locally, you can avoid listing, pay pal and shipping fees, which for me came to $50.
