many people have used the best buy method through coscto but a few have had there udp plan taken away and some have reporfted getting an email saying contact us about your account. if you get the contact us email then cancel your order dont call

Have 4 lines 3 unlimited and one limited data line .
Had a upgrade on one of the unlimited lines on Verizon. I transfered it to my limited line and ordered the Moto x phone for it
When i recieve it how should i go about transferring the lines? .. Thank you

Really? From the few threads that I've read only a persons
hotspot(if they have that) was disabled and their udp was still on

from what i understand you need to activate the new phone with the sim that it came with on the tdp line for an hour or two make a few calls send a text or two then go online and to the activate switch section i think its right below or above where it showes all your phones. then on the tdp line put the original phone back on that line then go to whatever upd line and put the moto x on it but do it all online

no the bestbuy method is not confirmed closed rather it seems closed for the note 4. Any other phone like the M8 or the LG G3 is still up for grabs I think. Its only for the note 4 so far which I think is really odd

I don't think the BB method is actually closed for the Note 4 unless I'm missing something. BB just isn't shipping the Note 4 yet, which is not a surprise since the phone just launched. I'm sure BB will start shipping the Note 4 eventually. Assuming the BB method still works when that happens, the Note 4 should work with the BB method when it starts shipping.

Yes just like any other new phone or product for that matter. New phones create new demand thus the way to handle these situations it to offer a product on a limited scale thus resulting in limited availability through certain outlets. Just give it time and wait for the phone to become readily available.

Is it like this?

1. transfer upgrade from UDP with eligible (line 1) that you want to upgrade to UDP without eligible (line 2) that stays the same.
2. order phone on UDP you don't want to change (line 2), that now has an upgrade transferred from line 1.
3. Remove SIM from new phone and replace with SIM from original UDP phone (line 1) that you want to upgrade?

Does this still work? Or will I lose UDP on line 2?

I'm in the exact same situation and trying to decide what to do. My main goals in order of importance:
1. Don't lose unlimited data on my line (the UPD with the upgrade available).
2. Don't have to pay for data on my dumbphone line (also with an upgrade available).

To me, the safest 2 options are both using a 3rd party retailer like Best Buy or Costco.
A. Order from Best Buy using the upgrade on the unlimited data line and hope and pray the SIM swap method still works with no fallout.
B. Order from Best Buy using the dumb phone line and swap the SIM's (never activate it on the dumbphone line).

Plan B seems to be the safest as far as keeping unlimited. Plan A is the safest as far as paying for data on the dumbphone line. I'm really torn on what to do. I'm hoping Best Buy starts shipping VZ Note 4's soon so I can make a call based on what others are seeing.

as far as i have seen both those methods still work and yeah thats the kicker on the note 4 and besb buy method cand do instore pickup because they will want you to activate it right away with the sim that came with it and thats a no no lol

yeah not sure why it wont let you ship then. but i think they changed it verizon that is that if you get the data plan on a dumb phone y ou have to keep it on there for the 2 year
