Hi, i have a quick question, I'm trying to upgrade my phone through BB.
When i choose the phone it asking me for my verizon number, zip, social and password.
Then later confirming the payment options it asking me again to verify my verizon account with the number, social, zip and password.
Does it normally asked you to verify twice?

I've updated twice online, and can confirm it Does ask for your information twice, just like you describe.

For anyone interested i preordering an iPhone 6s on Verizon - they have updated the iconic portal to accept upgrade transfers and subsidized 2 year pricing.

I used Best Buy. Everything worked like before.

Amazing the level of contribution on this thread. This is fantastic! I'd like to upgrade my UDP line to a 6s. Here is how my account is set up:

Line 1: iPhone 5s - 2 gb
Line 2: iPhone 5s - 2 gb
Line 3: Iphone 5s - UDP (Upgrade Available)

From reading others posts here it seems that my best plan would be:
1) Transfer upgrade from Line3 to Line1 (or2)
2) Use upgrade on Line1 (which method is best here? In Store? In Best Buy? Online?) to buy 6s at upgrade price
3) Activate new 6s on Line1 and use to make calls, texts etc.
4) Activate new 6s on Line 3 and re activate original 5s on Line1

Will this work as I plan it to? Any possible snags or better ways to do this? Bonus points if you can figure a way for me to turn in my current 5s in for whatever it's worth on trade in (~200)Thanks again to everyone who is supporting this thread - clearly a lot of activity to keep up with.

If i transfer my upgrade, do I lose my UDP? I have 3 lines, 2 udp available for upgrade, & a third flip phone line also available for upgrade. I appreciate any guidance, how do I do this? & why is best buy better? thanks again!

I am not sure if going through this link ultimately helped me. There is rumors that it just redirects you to the regular site. However, if you go through this link, there is the outside chance you will receive a gift card as well. Although that has been hit or miss. From what I have read it is not worth calling Verizon and drawing undue attention to your account.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and have a simple question that I'm sure has been answered numerous times but I can't seem to find one to my specific situation. I have a new Samsung Galaxy S5 arriving (Verizon version and factory unlocked) bought off Ebay. I now have a Moto Droid Razr which is on Verizon's UDP. I only have this one line. I want to replace the RAZr with the S5. Can I just take the sim card from the RAZr and place it in the S5? I doubt my new phone will come with a sim card but if it does it will be removed before the phone is ever turned on.

After 3 years of being very content with my Note 2 and my UDP, my Note 2 finally decided it had lived long enough and died. I've ordered a new Note 5 and paid full price for it. After reading as much of the 417 pages here as possible, I just want to confirm the process to keep my UDP. Am I correct thinking that since I paid full price, off contract, that I don't need to swap sim cards? Do I just fire it up when it arrives and log in with my google account to activate it? Or do I need to call Verizon? Thanks in advance for any responses.

I have a new question. Current situation:

Line 1: Basic phone upgrade available
Line 2: Smartphone -- 2gb
Line 3: Smartphone --2gb
Line 4: Smartphone UDP upgrade available

Line 3 would like to upgrade to an Iphone 5s. I can transfer the upgrade from line 4 to line 3 but after doing so I don't see subsidized phone prices on the Verizon website--I only see the full retail price or the monthly payments of the full retail price as options. Transfers don't seem to work on Apple.com, and the Iphone 5s isn't available for Verizon on BestBuy.com. Any thoughts of why I'm not seeing the subsidized price on Verizon's website? If it's a glitch, I'm afraid of contacting Verizon on the off-chance that I get a jerk of an agent that decides to mess up my UDP... but my husband (line 3) REALLY wants a new phone since his current phone is getting extremely glitchy, and I don't want to pay full price either.

Suggestions of what you'd do in my shoes?

Correct, Be sure to turn off your current phone first.

But if you paid full price you can just put the new SIM into the Note5 and power up. There should not be any other activation steps. But if you run into any trouble simply follow any included activations steps sent along with the phone.

You are in the clear and can safely call VZW if you have any troubles and keep your UDP.
Hope you enjoy that Note5 it looks amazing.

Ok guys so I went through getting the phone and at the end my plan ended up coming out cheaper by $100 dallors everything was kept the same so I got nervous they changed my plan so I backed out so can anyone confirm that the transfer upgrade still works from this day???

If they are giving you a cheaper plan, you are most likely loosing unlimited. The transfer upgrade was working fine as of the past few days, but it is always a risk. Someone will be the first but even if that happened you could probably still just return the phone and make them put everything back.

Quick question.
I transferred my UDP upgrade to a TDP to get the note 5 at discounted price for my UDP.
My question is the TDP phone is a galaxy s5 which i believe has a micro sim and the new note 5 has a nano i have read. So I have to activate the note 5 with the instruction that came with it but how do I transfer it back to the s5 after i have upgraded with the sim cards being different sizes? Would really appreciate if someone could respond to me soon. Thanks in advance.

1.I did the 4ever method at (wont let me insert link but google "verizon udp bestbuy" its the 1st on on list from slick)
2.Cut down sim from my HTC One(M7) to fit note 5
3.My verizon list UDP line as Note 5 now
4.Still says data unlimited hopefully it stays unlimited for the next billing cycle.

Ok guys here's a question so the transfer method worked everything went good kept my udps but the iPhone comes with a preinstalled SIM card does that mean I will not be able to switch my SIM card between the udp line phone and the tdp phone ?? Thanks for the help!

Question about keeping UDP but buying phones thru Best Buy:

We have a 3 line plan with 2 lines eligible for upgrade. My line (w/UDP) and my wifes line (w/4GB). Last time I did the 3 card monte thing I ordered upgrade phone from VZW under her upgrade, activated on my line (just using old SIM), then xferred my upgrade to her line and repeated the process.

If I want to order a phone from Best Buy instead (S6 Edge is on sale), how would it work now?

Best route?

Line 1 - TDP (6GB no upgrade), LG G2
Line 2 - UDP (Upgrade available), iPhone 4
Line 3 - UDP (no upgrade), iPhone 5s
Line 4 - dumb phone (Upgrade available)
Line 5 - dumb phone (no upgrade)

I'll like to upgrade line 2 from iPhone 4 to iPhone6 and keep UDP:
Option 1)
- transfer upgrade from Line 2 -> Line 1, use upgrade to get iPhone6 and ship to home.
- Activate iPhone6 on Line 1 and wait for 1-2 hours.
- Switch Line 1 back to LG G2. (will 6GB still be kept?)
- Activate iPhone6 on Line 2 (will this work, or I have to go to VAR to do this?)

Option 2)
- Use Line 4 dump phone upgrade to buy iPhone6 and ship to home.
- Destroy iPhone6 SIM and put Line 3 SIM to the new iPhone 6.
- Take iPhone 5s to VAR (and buy a blank SIM?) to activate Line 1
- Swap SIM between Line 2 and Line 3.

Best Buy should allow you to transfer upgrades. I would just do the same thing you did in the past.
