Can we ask for swaps here? I have a new in box gold S6 Edge Plus (32gb), but if I activate it I'll lose unlimited data. Would like to trade for another new Edge Plus. I'm in Northern NJ.

I'm going to get a S7 tonight on my wife's TDP line through a 2 year upgrade. I have some questions. I still have UDP with the S5. How long do I have to wait to switch this new phone over to my number after activation tonight? 24 hours or just after i get home? Do I have to get a new sim card with my info or can I just switch devices online? I really don't want to cut anything. This would also be a safe way to keep UDP right? Last time I think I went into a Verizon store to have them switch it. I'd rather avoid that. Thanks.

Current plan is 1400 Nationwide talk and txt, my wife line 3 wants to upgrade to an iphone 6s. I would like to keep my upgrade (line 1). Wanted to know the best way to get her a new phone. Was going to use line 4 upgrade then put her sim into the new phone, but when I get to the end on Verizon it wants me to switch entire plan to the new S,M,L,XL plans, which scared me off. Was scared if I activated the new phone since they are using IMEI instead of Sim card that it would change all phones to the new plan. Looking for the best way to accomplish getting a new phone and also keeping my upgrade and our UDP.

Personally I picked up a new nano sim on ebay. You can also pick one up at a Verizon wireless authorized retailer for a few bucks, to avoid giving contact info to s Verizon corporate store. I would suggest that you activate on the tdp line first. Then you can move it to the UDP line at any time.

ok, dumb repetitive question time.... of things that have already been covered, but I dont have time to read all 468 pages of this thread lol...

I have a S4 thats long overdue for an upgrade that is on a UDP plan. This is the only phone on my account. I want to upgrade to the S7 (non-edge)

I assume I need to order it through best buy on the $199 2 year contract deal (not the payment plan)
When I order, what plan do I select? I assume it doesnt matter since I am not going to use that plan.
Am I selecting a plan to replace my current plan, or am I adding a new line to my plan?
Can I order it online and select to pick it up in the store, or do I need it delivered to the house (yeah, im impatient!)
I vaguely remember I need to pull the new sim out and replace with my SIM out of the S4 before turning it on.
Are the SIM cards the same size between the 2 phones or do I need to get a sim card cutter?

Am I missing any other steps? I am about the pull the trigger on this and I don't want to screw it up.

This no longer works, if you do it you will lose your UDP.

If you are already paying the $20 fee, then you can upgrade using device payments and keep your UDP.

best buy method is DEAD there is no option on best buy to get subsidized phones online - all prices show retail.I am not sure if its an error, they also had iphone se 16gb for $1 with $50 gift card.

Did this method 2 years ago and it worked, just did it again (but now I have to sell the phone, no activating on my account) and it worked! Just dodged that $20/month increase

I also did BBM 2 years ago. Went through the process again in March of this year with two lines. Gave my mom and dad the $1 phones I ordered just to avoid the $20 increase. Haven't been hit with the $40 upgrade fee or $20 UPD increase yet. Everything you said looks to be a true statement. You order the phone your friend wants and they order the phone you want, swap. Destroy the preinstalled SIMs!

No.....you can get it back ........it's not too late...call customer service and keep calling until you get it back !
